Just wanted to touch base with you all. Had a great time wheelin' in the dunes. Was a little scared at first, but for all you first time wheelers like myself, the liberty was everything I'd hoped it would be! Pulled us up lose nasty sand and in and out of impossible places. My greatest moment, my wife sneering, was passing a chevy Tahoe that later got stuck as we moved on and two jeep wranglers behind him were beeping at this poor guy to let them pass. Guess they didn't want to get out of the ruts and go into the soft stuff. Well, we held our breathes and did and made it. I got alot bolder and even more emboldened. Just want to get a little higher, scraped a little but made it anyway.
p.s. now my wife gets it :D

Where did you go on the Cape? I grew up out there. I assume in the Nausset area? I'm interested in where you went and if you need a permit/pass. I have a place on the Cape so I am there a lot but never 4 wheeled.
Since you are in PA, I recommend you try Island Beach State Park on the NJ shore. You can get a weekend permit for 3 days ($ 50) or an annual pass for ($195). It's a sport fishing permit so you have to bring fishing tackle and look like you are surf casting. The beach is awesome (warmer water than the Cape) so you can just set up for the day, bar-b-que. KJ does great in the deep sand. Just hits bottom more if you have 4 people. I would lift it but it won't fit in my garage if I do. In all my time there I have never been stuck.
