Haven't found any topics posted on this, has anyone been through it?

1. Speedometer dial does not work
2. Odometer/Trip meter does not work
3. All other dials work properly

I'm planning to check the sensor, fearing that it may send me to the dealership. Granted, I have 131k miles on this sucker, so anything's possible. Ideas?

Check the wire from the rear diff sensor to the wiring harness. Back a couple of years ago, in a distant galaxy, there was a post by you know who, who found that the e-brake cable to the left side would rub the speedo wire to the point where the speedo didn't work.

Next try the diff sensor.

May want to check the fuses.

Al

PS How have you been, long time no post!

Yeah had the same problem,it's most likely the speed sensor on the rear diff or the wires going to it.

wow, thats a decent amount of miles! How long have you had the rustys lift on? I like hearing these high miles with lifts on them. Im hoping the cv can handle high miles.

From all the posts Ive seen, its been either the wire or the speed sensor on the rear pumpkin. 8)

Thanks everyone! It looks like my problem might yet be solved at home, hopefully.

jeepster, I've had the lift on for nearly 40k miles without any trouble. Hope you guys are as fortunate as I've been with the product.

Al, it has been awhile. Hope you are well and wheelin hard. I'm working long hours, 6-7 days a week. Not many rocks to crawl down on the emerald coast, but I still haven't ordered a custom front shaft yet either. Got your A-arms on and they work very well, thanks again!

Next project involves factory 4:10 gears for the rear, and Moog joint-ed tie rods for the front. After that, I'll be calling Tom (considering your input) for the new front shaft.

Best Regards,
Grant
