Has anyone seen or used the new Jeep Storage Caddy that they are listing on the Jeep Gear Webpage? It looks interesting in that it expands or collapses down, but it looks semi-rigid in construction. Is there anything that lists the dimensions for it?

Can you post the link?

If it's the standard Mopar one that can come with the Liberty, i got one in mine. They seem pretty strong, but obviously not as strong as AllJ's one. They have metal support strips on the bottom, so it is pretty rigid, but the way the are held up with one bar that goes from the floor close to the rear door up to the back of the caddy, and the back top attaches to the moulding in the side panels. It is rated for 30 lbs when up, and 100 lbs when sitting on the floor. I havent put much in them, except groceries (go figure), but if you want to put anything of weight in them, i would get All-J's.

Below is the link for the storage caddy, it's a removable storage container.

I have a set of these and overall I like it. There are things I don't like about it.

(1) the material is not sturdy, so if you put something heavy/bulky inside, it might nudge up against the fan-fold side and collapse it partially.

(2) the fanfold is not perfect ... it might not extend up properly, and might sag in places (I know, nitpick).

For the price, it's decent :D

I think we r talking about 2 different things.
Vern's - The black one with red trim linked to above is just an expandable "bucket" basically. I have seen the same ones w/o the Jeep logo in container type stores for less. Image

Guyute's - The other unit (here's the link: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=630 )
is an actual fitted compartment sort of like minivans (shudder) have in the floor sometimes but it can be mounted, higher I believe, where the cargo cover mounts also.
Someone was selling one in the parts section a while back.
I was sort of interested in it but ordered the all J shelf/rack instead as it didn't look real sturdy for the retail price ($200+)

Hey Cacher,

You gonna use the TP? Can I have it?

Put it in a zip lock for safe keeping.
