Thanks to GilaMonster for answering my question. No need for anyone else to call Rusty's...You guys rock!

Ernie

Could some one do me a huge favor and call Rusty's Off Road for me and ask them a question about their OME springs they have listed for the front of the KJ. (I am in Afghanistan, phone calls are hard to come by and the times I have tried I get a busy signal)

What I want to know is first...are the front springs the same length as the ones for their 2.5 inch suspension lift ( that is the lift I have).

The second thing is....I am adding an additional 85-95 pounds to the front bumper...should I go with the medium duty springs or the heavy duty.

I appreciate anyone who is willing to do this and then post here or PM me...

I am trying to order all my parts from here so when I get home I can upgrade it all asap.

Here is their number 256-442-0607

Thanks!

I called them today for you and this is the information that I gathered.
They say that the OME springs are actually shorter than the springs they sell in their 2.5 lift that you say you currently have. They say that the OME springs themselves only give 1 to 1.25 inch lift and their spring yields more lift comparative as springs alone. OME springs do come in a heavier rating, but you will lose lift due to their shorter lenght. Rusty springs like you have come in only one spring rating, so you can not get another spring in a heavier rating, but you can buy a strut plate spacer (goes on top) that they sell that will yield approximatly 3/8 to 1/2 inch lift to compensate for the sag due to a heavy bumper.

Hope this helps. God Bless and thank you for your service.

Cordially, GilaMonster
