I wish I had more time for LOST Rockies, but I'm applying at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver to further my double bass studies. The audition to the music school will be the most important test I've taken in my life so far, once I take it, and I might not even get in. Needless to say, I'm taking it very seriously...but of course I wish I had more money for gas and Jeep mods and time to spend with you guys, even when we're not on the trails. I can't wait till after February 3rd  Until then, I just have time to check out this forum between school, work, homework, and 3 hours practice everyday I don't work after school. I keep busy. Sorry

I has been a busy few weeks wth all the snow, playing taxi for wife and kids when their cars were snowed in!

Saturday night I towed a F250 crew cab 4X4 that lost a drive shaft with the Liberty. I wish I had camera. My wife said it was quite a sight!! :D

I think the snow has made us all hibernate...I know I have felt that way.

I have received my JKS discos but it has been too cold to do anything about them. When I come back from Florida I plan on ordering my upper control-arms and Moogs for the lower control arms. I'll probably have them all by early February...maybe we can do a wrench-a-thon sometime mid-February?

On another note...I got stuck for the first time ever (not counting my high centering at Chinaman Gulch). Kristin and I were going over to her brothers house in the Washington Park area of Denver when it happened. All the side streets in Denver do not get plowed and many of them have two 4-8" deep ruts running down the center of hard-packed ice on the street. We went down her brothers street and I went to make a u-turn in front of the house. Well I should have crossed the ruts at an angle as when my rear tires went into the ruts I got totally stuck. Nothing I could do would allow me to pull myself out. All four tires were spinning on the ice. I almost had to get pulled out by her brothers BMW...that would have been a photo! Luckily we chipped away some of the ice in front of each tire and gave it one more try and drove right out. I hade a nice big piece of humble pie to say the least!

Anyway,

A wrench-a-thon sometime in Feb would be cool.

Let's see ... I flew commercial down to lower Alabama on the 9th to fly a helicopter back to the Springs but got stuck in Tulsa, OK for six days because of the ice storm that blew through there. We start helicopter gunnery on Sunday then deploy to Fort Bliss, TX for a month immediately following gunnery. I should be back about the 10th of March. I guess you could say that I have been and will be busy for a while.
