What are you talking about? Show me where it protrudes past the housing.

Oh, and the diff covers have been "fixed" so this doesn't need (or shouldn't need) to be done to those tabs. I have also been asked about the bolt with the welded nuts that are with the hardware. I made those so if you don't have a huge allen wrench/socket to tighten/loosen the fill plug, you won't have to go out and spend a bunch of money to get one.

Your pic looks slightly different to this one, which is where my comment was "protruding" from

You can see clearly there is a section on the either side that sticks out still, and I have scraped those sides a few times already. I know i'm nit picking, but hey, for the amount of coin it would cost me to get one over here and on my car, you'd be too !! :D

Completely understandable. I think I can see where you are talking about, at the 3:30 and 7:30 spots on the diff cover where the housing rolls in slightly.

Correct. Its not a MAJOR problem, I just thought if someone were to go to the trouble of making such a fantastic product (and it is), that they would consider something like this. DC were just being lazy and cost effective in their decision to make the diff cover completely round, as that's what the stamping press would have been able to roll out.

RL, I still want to look at getting this off you. I'll PM you at a later date to discuss.

Has everyone who ordered these received them? I'm still waiting for mine, but I'm wondering if I got missed? :(

I don't see it now either. It used to be under "tortoise" covers or something like that.

I hope he still is selling them.

I'm dropping the company. They would tell me they had them in stock, then take several weeks before I got them. Ship time is only two days when they ship them out. I have enough delayed shipping problems of my own to have to worry about continuously checking in with another company. When I do get them in, I have to thoroughly inspect them, clean all the weld boogers off myself, make some fill plug keys so you guys to have to by a special tool for it, and for the little money I actually make on them, they have just not been worth my time. They are great covers for the price, but I just don't have the time and money to mess with them. They said they have 10 covers that have the 3/8" bolt ring instead of the 1/2" that they want to get rid of pretty quick. a loss of 1/8" thickness on the bolt ring is not a big deal at all. If I had enough people to pick those up, then I will get them, and be done with that company. So, if you want a diff cover, there are ten spots left, then you will have to get them direct from the company. I will sell these ten covers for $100 shipped. They will have the countersunk holes, stainless hardware, and the drain plugs. First ten to get me the money by the end of the month will get them, then I'm completely through with those covers. If you want to paypal, my paypal address is martin@rocklizardfabrications.com. If you want to pay by card, give me a call. If you paypal, I need full name, shipping address, year of KJ, phone number, and name on the board. I can't hold any, so first come first served. January 31 is the deadline, then I will place the order to fill the orders I get. Sorry guys, I'm just too busy catching up on my own products to mess with these anymore.

Thanks
Marty

Regards - Scott

Well this sort of sucks. I am not going to be able to get in on this last run...if there is one. So can you hook us up with the company that makes them after this last sale? I will just have to do my own QC inspection I suppose.

OK, talked to my supplier late Tuesday night, and he said he only has seven of these 3/8" ring covers left, not ten like I said earlier. And yes, I will post the company to get these from. They sell them for $120 shipped direct from them, but you get to do the extra booger chiselling, thread inspection, and come up with a tool to remove/insert the fill plug yourself. The first time I got them, I was actually surprised I had to do a QC inspection and cleanup before I felt they were good enough for my standards. I'm not saying they are bad quality or anything, they are a super beefy cover with a lot of extras for the best price I have seen, but they need to be cleaned up before putting them on.

Today is the last day to order one of these through me for $100 shipped, for the 3/8" ring with stainless countersunk hardware and drainplug. There are still four left.
