Wow - an update to a really old thread! Well, it took a lot longer than I thought to run out of my warranty (almost an entire year!) but I am finally getting started on the Liberty now.

Maditory Items (updates in blue):
1. Skids (Both Tranny, Transfer Case are next on the order list)
2. Rock Rails (installed)
3. Tow Hooks (in route from www.jparts.com)
4. Civilian Band radio (still on the list of things to do)
5. Trail Kit (First Aid / Tow Strap (done) / Flashlight (done) / Tool Kit (done) / Fire extinguisher)
6. I'm removing the K&N filter from the list - I will just stick with paper filters for now.

Optional Items:
7. Tires (Firestone Destination A/T's installed)
8. LSD or Locker
9. Lift by OME
10. i'm removing exhaust from my list
11. I'm also removing the bumpers

Up next are the skids and all of my 60,000 mile service stuff.

Yup - my local tire guy gave me a killer deal on the RS-A's... he called it a trade in & trade up, but I call it one of the best sales experiences that I've ever had!

So do you notice any difference between the Goodyears and the Firestones? Hope you like them.

I like them so far but I only have about 20 city & 40 highway miles on them right now so I might still be in the "post upgrade euphoria." The ride seems to be quieter and more stable so far and the tread looks incredible on my stock height Liberty. The only thing I have noticed is that I have picked up a small vibration from one of the front tires when I drive over concrete patches of highway. This might be from an imbalanced tire or because the tires are still new. If the vibration is still there in a couple of weeks - I'll head back to the tire shop and get all 4 tires rebalanced for no charge and see if that can correct this very small issue.

I will also rotate the 5th tire into service in about 2 weeks to see if the vibration goes away after the rotation or stays, meaing that it might be time for new dampers.

I had to add stuff when the money would allow it. I watched the for sale forum really close and bought ALOT of my stuff from there. Got a powertrax locker on there for half the price. 8) Got a really good deal on my OME lift too. :)

This is the order I did it

-Front tow hooks
-Rear hitch
-Front skid(gets hit the most)
-OME lift
-Locker
-Other 3 skids
-Rustys front lift & rear air bags
-Rocker rails

Figured I'd add in another update to this thread... My hooks showed up this afternoon (thanks JPARTS!)

Right now it is too cold to get these installed and the garage is getting rather cluttered as we get further into winter. I am surely going to get them put on as soon as the temps recover to above freezing!

Know what you mean sleeve84028, I got rid of my Goodyears to some guy driving by with Michigan plates on his KJ,
  but now there is that VERY HEAVY Kilby gas tank skid sitting there, at this rate my garage will never get cleaned up, PLUS ITS WAY TOO COLD!!
Trying to think of what I did first on mine
Rear hitch, they delivered the KJ to me at 5P.M. hitch went on by 5:15, 5:30 trailer hooked up to it and ready to move from Lancaster OH, up here to Toledo area!
Exhaust/Rustys Air Tube was next, at 450 miles
Tires
Lift
and all the other stuff fell in there somewhere

All that talk about installing parts and using tools led to this....

Image

It was cold and cramped in the garage and the floor was wet since I washed the Jeep - but I sucked it up. I also got some mopar slush mats for the rear seat occupants and a new tire cover. I just wish I would have ordered the correct color for the front slush mats last year... Oh well, I guess it's an excuse to revisit jparts again.

It is a little cock-eyed in the picture, but after I put the camera away I adjusted it so the letters were level with the rest of the world.
