I'm not saying he can't do it. This is America. It is just wrong to do this to a man that worked so hard to design something for us KJers when few other companies would, then take his design, tweak it a little and then go sell it to others when RL is trying to survive by taking care of us KJers.

If he is just taking the leftover scrap to make one for a friend, I would say there is nothing wrong with that, but going into a business of making them to sell, that is wrong.

If RL was a huge company making millions, I would say, do it because it wouldn't hurt his overall profit, but for a single man operation that lives off a sale here and there AND is a fellow LOST member...........

Havent heard anything out of Jeepjeepster but I doubt that he is going to go into mass production anytime soon. I agree that there have been very few people step up to the plate to make things that we want for our Libertys. I thank RL, All Js and a few more for doing that but yet it is America so if he makes one or two sets for friends so be it.

Got them put on. Ended up taking longer than I thought it would. Getting the holes in the pinch seem to line up with the holes on the 1x1 was alittle tricky.

I may drop out of college and make them full time.

Holy Cow!! This thread was getting really interesting for awhile there! :)

JJ,

Do you find that your mudflaps are getting caught on 'stuff' while offroading? I just sold mine and am starting to regret as far as keeping my KJ clean. Mud and dirt from offroading is cool. Ice/dirt/snow/mud/salt/water from regular in town driving isn't!
I took mine off because of my order with RL. Thanks.

Ohh yea, the mud flaps would get torn off if I didnt take them off when I was offroad. They do fine for mild offroading, but anytime Im going to be on stairsteps or anything like that, they must come off.

Doesnt take me to long to get them off. Ive got a small screw driver that allows me to get to the screws without taking the wheels off. :)
