I want to replace my stock head unit, am I going to lose the ability to control the volume / track etc. from my steering wheel? Is there a way around it? Sorry if this has been brought up before but I could find it through the search.

Yup - following that link or just head over to www.crutchfield.com and tell them what you're looking for. They can hook you up with a unit that allows you to retain the controls.
