I'll check it again next oil change. For all I know, it's been caked since 3k miles. From what I'm reading, it should stay a little cleaner now running ULSD. We'll see............

Seems to help to remove most of the soot and all the oil from the intake. My guess is just switching to ULSD will almost completely stop the build up and if an oil removal system is used with ULSD then my thinking is that this will become non-issue.

I will pull the sensor again in the spring when it warms up and I have about 5,000 miles on the first cleaning, that should be about enough to see if the ULSD & EHM are keeping it clean.

I cleaned the boost sensor an hour ago. It was clogged up with black soot. After cleaning it as good as possible I test drove it and felt a major improvement in torque and idling. I am assuming that this will affect the mileage as well.

I just drove mine around after cleaning. I also disconnected the battery while cleaning sensor.

I too felt some improvement. Seemed to idle a tad better but I think I also noticed that it seemed to take off a little smoother. In other words, I think it had consistant acceleration rather then a zero to sudden thrust at 1800-2000 rpm's. Don't get me wrong, it still wants to spin the wheels after the lag, but seems to be a little better.

Sound about right?
