Has anyone installed a self powered Bazooka (built in amp) to their Liberty with a stock radio?
I’m trying to do this but the stock radio of course does not have RCA plug in, so the directions say to tap into the speakers. How has this worked? Does it sound decent?

I have never put one in a libby but I have put them in other vehichles. Some people love them some don't. I think they are an easy way to add bass to a system. If you like alot of bass go with a 10 if you only want a little get a 8. Eithewr way it will improve your sound and make sure you (tap) into your stereo behind your head unit because some of the liberty's using the infinity system have amplifiers and I'm not sure if the signal will be to much for the inputs on the bazooka. Most bazooka's have either a rca input, or a speaker or line-level input. I used my stock stereo and hooked up an aftermarket amp and sub. I had to use an rca converter. But bazooka has them built in. Good luck and if you need them several peopla have the color codes for the factory wires let me know

So the bazooka tube itself can take a signal from a spliced speaker wire? I wouldnt run speaker wire all the way back from your factory deck. Im using my factory unit with my amp and subs, but I also used a line-out (RCA) converter, which fits nicely inside the dashboard behind and to the left or right of the stereo. The interior trim isnt too hard at all to remove, just pops right out so you can run some RCA's to the back of your KJ.
