Wheel hop...when turning in 4wd? If that's the case, then nothing will get rid of it, except for driving on slippery surfaces, or using a lubricated tire that has little traction. Wheel hop is inevitable when making turns in 4wd (not fulltime if you have it) because the wheels are spinning at the same speed. There is more technicalness but I don't want to go into it.

Yeah, I'm confused about what you're getting at. Tires out of balance? Are you in 4 wheel drive? Is it the front or rear that's "hopping?" Is it under hard acceleration? Are you lifted? Need some more info...I would think about new shocks/struts or a tire balance before replacing the control arms.

Do you mean bump steer? As in you hit a bump and the wheel jerks? I think that with the new upper A-arms you can get the alignment closer to stock and get rid of most of it but not all.

Sounds like the tires might be over inflated. What psi. are you running in them? Hope it's not the max pressure listed on the tire, if so, take them down to 33,34 psi.

Everyone here has given a pretty good baseline of things to check:

1) Check the Tire Pressure
2) Rotate your tires and test
3) If the problem is still there, rebalance the tires and check the alignment
4) Load the suspension, check for contact between the suspension and the body
5) if you have higher mileage - time for new shocks / struts?
6) ...?

I get wheel hop like crazy with my locker. There is a difference in wheel hope and tire scrub.

Wheel hop is when the wheel "hops" when the tire is spinning. My entire Jeep will shake like its about to fall apart if I get the rear wheels spinning. Grass, blacktop, gravels, it doesnt matter what surface im on, I get wheel hop. :)

I'ts a 2004 limited with rough country lift, yes I know but whats done is done,245/75/16 tires and pressure right now when its cold is 28-32psi but when its warm it stays right at 33.Like I said it only happens when I'm turning going fairly fast but not dangerously fast, and it could be cause the road is not smooth and I'm hitting little bumps,by the way my wife is the same way ,it's very frustrating. Thanks guys

Is it possible your tire tread is hitting the pinch weld (if you havent already pounded it over) or maybe the tire is hitting something else? Just thinking that if you are turning and going at good clip the suspension will be compressed on one side somewhat and maybe you are getting some contact. Which I would think could feel like what you are explaining.

You're not too far away. I am over around Tower and Quincy.
