Ok, I'm tired of searching the internet, message boards and various shops for an answer to this question, who makes and sells front bumpers for the Liberty? I am not talking about who is planning on selling or used to sell, I am talking about what different options do I have if I pick up the telephone tomorrow and place an order. I know that ARB has their "monster" bumper that is above and beyond over kill for my taste, but are they the only option? There has to be other shops or companies that make and sell bumpers for the Liberty.

TJM out of Australia makes one and Rock Lizard Fabrications will be making one as well...in fact Rock Lizard is a member here too..

The above are about the only choices you have at the moment. Not sure what you are looking for as most all bumpers will add 80/100 lbs to the front end. Yes the ARB is bigger I guess, but it has been tested time and again. Rock Lizards and TJMs are on the way, but will still like I said be adding some additional weight on the front. Do you want to add a winch, or is it just for looks, depends on what you want to use it for also.

It is a big question if Trail Ready is really making their bumper and selling it.

There is another guy making a Tube type bumper. I can't remember who that was and if he plans to produce it for others.

Trailready has a batch of 02-04 bumpers available for sale. I've been given some fishy info on their 05-06 model however. I almost bought an 02 to fit on my 05 but decided I could probably do better on my own...

So the answer to my question is ARB is the only company that makes bumpers for the Liberty. Yes I know RockLizard and etc.etc.etc... are planning on selling / shipping / making available front bumpers for the Liberty eventually, but that really wasn't the question now was it.

For a front bumper I want something a little stronger than a piece of plastic up front, but I do not need a winch mount.

Bummer. That's almost a let-down.

That is a nice response to people trying to give you help.

The answer was given to you and additional info on other bumpers provided. No reason to be rude about others providing helpful input.


Perhaps others won't be so nice the next time you ask a question.

Not that I am really choosing his side or anything, but the original question was if you wanted to buy a bumper for your KJ "RIGHT NOW" then where do I go. As i remember correctly then the answer would be ARB.

I'll go back and re read that just to be sure but I am thinking some people may be mis interpreting the question.

The fact is, he can pick up the phone and call Rock Lizard, Trail Ready, and TJM and place an order (well, Trail Ready is questionable, but they claim to sell them and that fits the question).

The question was what company could he call and place an order tomorrow. He did not ask, place the order and receive it immediately.

Rock Lizard is taking orders. It looks like TJM is taking orders. And we all know that Trail Ready claims they make them. Do they? Call yourself and find out.

We did not need to mention ARB because he already mentioned them.

Exactly, I wasn't trying to be mean or ugly, I asked what I thought was a simple question and got no straight answers. Since my last post I have called around to various manufacters and asked about their bumpers, ARB and TrailReady are the only two that I can find that have front bumpers in production for the KJ right now.

I understand that Rock Lizard and TJM and orm are planning on selling front bumpers for the KJ in the future but my original question was who could I go to right now and purchase one from. Please do not misunderstand me, I AM NOT discounting the Rock Lizard, TJM or orm bumper or saying anything bad about them, all I wanted to know was where I could get one from now.

Thank you Kniggit for understanding my original question. I was just curious if there were places that I had not found or thought of out there yet.
