Whats going on guys and gals? My first post on here. I dont actually have a Kj but recently bought a 2-door Jk and frequently visit the Jk boards and somebody refered me over this site to check out the trip you all are going to in Kentucky. I currently go to the University of Louisville and am only a couple of hours from where you all will be going. Dont have much time to write but I just wanted to give you guys a heads up and say hello.

Thinking about it. Just have to see what my schedule is looking like. I know I dont have a Kj but my girlfriend does if that counts for anything. Only problem is we would be bringing my Jeep and not hers. Something about her not wanting it to get dirty :( What day would you all be going??? On here it says the 17th but some one else had told me the 19th. Either way its definately something Im interested in.

As jeepjeepster said - 17th. Plus, Pixeldzn is bringing his Wrangler Rubicon, so no worries.

By the way, I think I can dig up three or four of the GMRS handheld radios for extra communication for those w/o CBs (that means me )

Any thoughts inexpensive handheld CBs that I might try (I could use one this summer when I drive my dumptruck too)?

Hey that would be great!! I have a couple Garmin Rhinos which have FRS and GMRS along with the GPS. So, if someone needs to use one of my rhinos they can.

Well, I was pretty pumped about coming on the 17th but it turns out that is my Universitys spring break and I already have reservations for a condo in Gulf Shores Alabama for the week. Maybe another time though. Its to bad because I was really looking forward to it, well, now atleast I can look forward to driving my Jeep with the top and doors off.

How would my 07 Jk fair on the trails you all are planning on doing? Right now it is bone stock. I have Mods planned for the future but for right now I am a tad short on funds and have had the Jeep for less than a month.

Does it come with any armor? Did your build sheet say anything about skids?

I believe all JK's come with a huge tranny skid dont they? I believe the skid is also the tranny cross member which is why they all need it. Thats how the TJ was, I dont know if they carried that over to the JK. :?

Edit: What channel does everyone run for you all coming down from the south?

All the Jks come standard with skids for the fuel tank, transfer case, and automatic transmission oil pan. My Jk is a 6-Speed.
