30*13*1.6=624km in your example. Given MrMopar's 1.3-2.0L/100km data, that would be 8.1-12.5L more than if you had the a/c off. (About 2-3 gallons more.)

I don't see that. How come you only get 1-2 mpg less in the summer when you run the thing FULL TIME? And doesn't ambient temp come into play there too?

So ... is it correct that the a/c compressor will not turn on in dash/floor mix and dash only modes? in dash only mode it does not seem to come on, but what about the dash/floor mix mode?

you may want to check and make sure it's your a/c cycling. if i'm not mistaken the viscous heater is on an electric clutch also. so they probably sound exactly alike cycling on and off.

Yea, except the heater only runs at low rpm, course you wouldn't notice it at high rpm.
