It's 5:30 AM In Scottsburg, IN and there is snow n the ground, although it has stopped for now.

Google says it's a 2:45 drive to the 49er, so we should be OK.

Eddo, I have your cell# so we'll call you if we're not gonna make it by 9 am.

Maybe not Tom,We are supposed to get 3 or 4 inches of fresh snow here in cincy area, and the radio is saying, south of ky-Ohio border alot more than that. But either way, itwill take most a long time to get back.Probably here from jeepster first.
It would just figure that KY's first big snow would happen to be the day they picked.

LiLredLibby, yes was watching the weather this morning and checked it a couple of minutes ago , I would say they may have more than just a covering! We have (so far) about 2 inches here is all. I was really looking forward to going but now...sitting here in front of the fireplace...
Yes I bet we hear from jeepster before dark

I talked to Eddo via cell phone around 3 and they were doing fine. Some light snow, but everyone was doing well.

Yeah, the snow didnt really hurt anything too bad. The sandstone is stilll pretty rough. In fact, the cold helped in a few cases because what would have been muddy was just frozen.

The stock libby did ok. But it's time for a lift for sure. I made it through, but needed to take a few bypasses, and even the strap once when I got high centered. Sure am glad I had those skids on... got my money's worth in one day!

It was a great run. Too tired to upload the photos right now but will do it first thing tomorrow. The hardest part of todays run was the drive there. The roads in IN and OH were not pretty. Everyone seemed to have a great time and there were no major issues. The biggest problem all day was not having a spatula to flip burgers. go go gadget cardboard...

Im WAYYYY to tired to post them here. Everyone can just look through those. :)

It was another awesome run. No one really got any damage beside a few good scratches on the skids. Science_guy did hit his rear fender, Im not sure if he knows about that one yet. :?

How was I-75 Science_guy? It was covered for the most part coming back to Richmond. Its probably a good thing that you and Eddo didnt stay to eat, it would of taken you alittle longer to get back.. That is if it wasnt snowing when you all went back. :)

It was a great run. One of the best I think. It was really pretty in the forest with just a light covering of snow.

The trail wasn't that bad. The worst part was the drive down. Mainly I-75 in Ohio. It was actually pretty bad at times in the morning and I was getting worried. However, Kentucky does a MUCH better job with the roadways. I don't think OH even had trucks out. Once into KY we where able to do 70-75mph the whole way. Since most of my drive was in KY anyways it wasn't bad.

There further south we got into KY the less snow we had. There was just really a dusting on the ground once we hit the trail. It hardly caused any issues at all. Less than I expected. The sand stone grips just like sand paper and we hardly slipped. It holds better than pavement. The cold actually help. Like jerbacher said the muddy areas where frozen. Also, the forest was actually quite pretty with the light snow covering the ground.

Finally, I was really shocked how easily the stock KJ made it through. He was wheeling with some KJs that where lifted 3", running 31" tires and locked. He barely had any more difficulties than most of us.

Those are some great pics, everyone! Glad to hear everyone had a good time. I'd love to go try that sometime, just want to get my lift and rock rails installed later this spring!
