I have to say that one of the best parts about this location is the variety of lines people can take. There is almost always bypass and an agressive line for those who wish to try something harder. There are lines that are challenging for all drivers, rigs, and levels of experience. The run we have done now three times is about 4 hours long of trail time. We usually take a few hours for lunch. I would like to explore the trail behind the cave some and the side trails off the exit road sometime but I really like this area. I am sure we will be back again for all those who were not able to make this trip out. I will also be planning a trip to Redbird here in Indiana to see what it is like once it opens again in the spring. From what I have seen, it is more mud then anything but will be fun to see what they have to offer. I am sure we will plan another trip to Badlands also.

From the pictures and knowing what the area is like from other trails down there that I have been on, I know that I like it a whole lot better than any trail with lots of mud. Used to enjoy coming home with huge clumps of mud on the roof, but not anymore  Cant wait for the next trip down.

From what everyones seen so far would it be possible to do an all day Saturday run stay overnight then Sunday 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. or so and scoot towards home then? Just thinking out loud  That way maybe get into some of the other areas

I'll be planning a badlands trip before Moab for sure.

I am ordering lift and tires for the Rubicon this week, so I will need a reason to get it dirty and test it out! :D

Looks real pretty down there. Once I get a little more tail experience, I will check that place out. I'm glad everyone had fun.

Thanks for the pictures, Jeepjeepster.

Awesome pics Blake! Glad everyone had a safe trip and no one had any major problems.

Can't wait until the next planned run (where ever it may be)...maybe I'll be able to attend. I'm dying to do some wheeling.

I'll try to get the ones Dustin took up tonight. Didn't get to it yesterday, and now I'm at work. There's around 150 of them, so it should be pretty good.

More amazing photos! You guys rock. (The frozen waterfall ones were beautiful.) That's just the kind of terrain I think I'd like the most.

Question: When you climb down those "steps," are you crawling in first gear?

You should be in 1st in 4LO on rocks like that.

Yes, you should be in 1st and 4LO, but even that is usually way too fast if you let gravity take over. Most of the time we are riding/feathering the brake down.

On steps like those is when you become one with your Jeep! After a few you start to get the feel of when you need to feather or let go a little on the brake etc. First few times you want to stop and say let me think it over a while, but then as you get into a groove you can feel when and what your jeep wants you to do.

You know "Its a Jeep thing" 8) 8)

The correct address for the group that ToddC was referring to is www.kentuckycrawlers.com I found several references to that group on Google. Glad to see that there are so many of us around.

Actually both URL's are incorrect

Here is the correct one
http://www.kentuckykrawlers.org/

It's .org and you need the kr in krawlers.
