I've got an 06 limited pre owned. It tells me the mileage I'm getting an it's usually about 15.0 - 16.5 stop and go. Highway I've gotten upto 20 on a long trip. I've got a co worker who just got a 05 Renegade who says he gets around 20 stop and go. Is this mileage right for my jeep or maybe that gauge telling me what I get is off. I've had the jeep since Nov 06..

I get the exact same as you. Does your co worker have the 4cyl? If so that might be the case. But your mileage is not abnormal.

Depends on if you have a gasser or not. For the 3.7, you are normal. For the CRD, you are abnormal.

You are around average. I'm in the same range with the 3.7liter and A/T..

There are a lot of variables. Gears (rear could be 3.55 - or 3.73 with the tow package ), tires etc etc, and the then there's driving style, and now we have cold weather and "winter gas" which seems to give worse gas mileage.

I would never trust the digital display telling you your MPG. Mine always says somewhere between 17.9 and 18.3, but if I actually calculate it at the pump, I get around 15.5-16.3.

Anyone know if there is a way to get the digital readout calibrated somehow?

Sounds right. My 04 KJ leveled out at 19 hwy, 13 city. I tried a K&N filter and it gave me 1 more MPG. I took it out and put the stock back in. People will say "but it's a 4x4, what did you expect". I use to drive a V8 International Scout that got 18hwy and 15city. It had 2000lbs on the KJ and was a tank, so yes, I would expect that out of a 76 model but not a 2004 V6.

Go to a dealership and have them reprogram your KJ's computer for your new tire size, if it's different from your stock tires. A few people have done it, but most of us live on without it (I think it cost ~$100). It will give your actual mileage more accuracy, but I don't think you can calibrate the MPG program itself.
