For those more experienced jeepers....

Some of my buddies are only concerned with ratings when going out on the trail. Can anyone approximate how the recent Livingston runs would compare to the scale (1 - 5)?

I'm guessing 2 or 3?

The route we took is at least a 3. Along that route, there are usually a 2-3 line and a 4-5 line. Some of the stuff can be by passed entirely. There is some harder stuff we found on our first trip that required us to turn around so there is some fun stuff there if you want to push the limits.

I agree with Science Guy most of the stuff we did was probably a 3+ or 3.5. Nothing so difficult to break stuff, but enough to be a challenge. At Moab there are plenty of KJ handling 4+ or 4.5 trails on every outing without a problems

Some of the harder lines present where definitely 4+ and some 5s. A few people attempted some of them, like the huge ledge me and Don (Rubicon) tried to tackle was a 4+

In Livingston you can take a drive in the woods or put a new crease in your seat! If you guys ran the "Stair Steps" (diamond trail) you ran one of the three main trails in there, there is a whole nother world down in the Rain Forest, 4+ stuff. But you can't be worried about pinstrips and body dings.

Several ways down and its a maze of trails when you get there. Join in on one of our rides would be the best bet.

So it seems the next logical questions is... When?
