Hello , I'm new to the site so I figure I'll just start off w/ a question. I would like to install a sunroof in my 05 KJ. If you could offer some info on prices , installers and how well it worked out for you I'd appreciate it. THANKS!!!!

I'm in GWLake, Thanks for your help, I'd like to find out although I'm still a little unsure about aftermarket sunroofs.

greenwood lake. thats kool. I actually used to live in monroe. I just moved to Montgomery.

I stoped by my friends shop today but he was not there. I left a message and hopefully he gets back to me plus he ows me a big fav.

I am sure it is going to cost a few C-notes for the job.

Home of OCC, met those guys a few times there pretty cool. Anyway I figure the job will be expensive although do ya have any thoughts on the integrity of an aftermarket ( ie. leaks, etc. ) and if it will screw up the ridgidity of my JEEP ( I've got two roof supports ) I've done some homework but i'd like to hear personal experiences. It's a costly job and once it is done It's hard to bring back the original quality. Hey since your in Montgomery do ya know of any good fishing spots ( if youre willing to giv'em up ) Trout season is coming up and I can't wait to take my ORVIS setup and make a fool outta myself,LOL.
Thanks! Oh by the way, checked out your website for kicks and what an awesome job!!! Good deal on the kid, 11.5 lbs WOW!! I was close to 12lbs when I was born and I came out natural Thank God I wasn't my mother at that time.. My wife and I were curious about your hospital choice we were hoping to have our first child there, How were your experiences with the facility and staff?

Well who ever does the job, you or a pro installer, the work is only as good as th effort the person puts in to it. You could have a good guy do a crappy install. I have never done a sun roof on anything before so I do not know how it will come out.
Thanks on the website and my first son. The warwick hospitial was one of the best placed around. We chose that for its reputation and dedication to new born children. We will go back if we have more kids.
Trout season in only a few short weeks away. I can not wait. I usally go rite along RT 32 heading into new windsor. There is a river that runs along it and though Black Rock preserve fish and game club where they stock it. I go just past it and usally get some good fish.

I'll have to check it out. I usually go to harriman or the ramapo river, I'm also gonna try sullivan county for trout this year.

sullivan county will be bad for the next few years because of the bad floods from over the summer. anything south east of monticello should be good. We will see.

I need to get new gear i just moved and broke and lost stuff.

Sorry haven't had a chance to get back to ya. As for trails in GWL I'm still looking , really not much around here legal. Although I might get some info soon for Northwestern N.J. How bout you, anything up there? Oh yeah the hunting/fishing show is coming around soon, I got a sweet deal on a baitcaster reel and rod. Maybe you could pick up some good stuff, But then again there's always Gander Mt.

pretty much all of the trails around monroe are now closed due to building. I know there used to be a trail along cr 5 lakes road headding into GWL but its now closed off by the DPW.

I spent a few hours driving around my new house up here in newburgh and I think I found a legal state land. they have snow mobil trails and 4 wheelers. It was too dark to see if I could make it on the trails and I was alone did not want to get stuck.

sorry for not getting back sooner. it has been a long 2 weeks for me. Yea it is a nice area on rt32. i have not had time to do any casting yet.
i have passed by some places that looks like people go wheeling. I am gonna see if i can sneak up and take a walk ("with my KJ") and see what is going on.

Forget about the fishin and get back to the sunroof will ya!! Just kidding.

I wanted to do the same thing but soon learned that all the KJ's with the factory
sunroofs had a flat roof whereas all the others had several ribs running front to
back. If you have any sucess finding someone who could do the sunroof please let me
know. I remember one member who had a line of vinyl retractable roofs that looked
promising but again this was shot down by members who said the structural integrity
of the jeep would be compromised by removing the ribs in the roof .
