Hi All,

Make sure you check you front turn signal housings after having fun in the water. I had a lake in one of mine, which shorted out and melted the bulb connector, blew a fuse and caused me a couple days of pulling out my hair trying to figure out what the problem was. Note, the bulb still worked when the lights were turned on, but was shorting out the turn signal circuit, I think :? It was actually melted to the bulb housing. Come out in pieces.

Started out with some weird lighting issues. Right hand turn signal dash light was on constantly. When I turned on the headlights, the dash illumination did not go on and the passenger rear turn signal light was on constantly any time the lights were on. And when I turned on the right turn signal, the dash lights blinked.

Just thought I'd post this as a heads up if you do any playing in water with you Libby.

BTW, any of you who replaced your fron bumper have a spare light bulb mount (larger of the 2) for the passenger side front turn signal? I have a feeling Jeep will want me to buy the whole housing which I really don't want to do that since I have a RL front bumper ordered.

DonC

Guess you really do have to check your Blinker Fluid. I'll get out my left handed monkey wrench and check when I get off work here at 2430 HRS.

Seriously though, Don sorry to hear about that. best of luck finding the parts.

I had to replace one of mine after a rock hit it.. It was $32 for the entire housing with bulbs and connectors. I thought it would be WAY more than that. :)

Don,

send a pm to Ted (USAFCOP). He might still have his signal housings laying around since he has the prototype front bumper.

Also, you should be getting your rear bumper today, according to UPS. :D

I will look, but do not remember where they went...

Do you want housing, or just the larger bulb socket?

You'll need to be a founding memeber of the DeLorean Motorcars Timetraveling super blender & grinder fan club before being approved for the purchase of a Flux Capacitor. Those are like totally top secret

You will need the following "super hard to come by" items to even be considered for memebership:

1) A hover board from the 21st centruy
2) A evil scientest that can solve any problem with model trains
3) Access to a western ghost town and all necessary cowboy appearal
4) A original "how to time travel at 85MPH" owners manual with corresponding access code

And last but not least

5) A roll of duct tape
