Hey, how'd you put that pic in there?

Yeah, I'll take some pics of the cut and the braces I made. Tell me how to put the pics here. I'm sure those looking at my cardomain site think I'm a little overboard with pics already. Cutting that is very easy. Take a Dremel with a little cutoff wheel and cut along the line where the bumper turns down (the little "skirtlike" piece). Cut the front first because you'll need to make your own cut (there's no line to follow) on the side where the fender flare comes into the bumper. Use a pencil or something to mark it and measure it side to side so you don't butcher one side more than the other. Then take sandpaper or the sanding wheel on the Dremel and run it back and forth across the cut to smooth the edges. Don't stay in one spot for long though. Even at the lowest speed, the Dremel rotation speed will melt into the plastic. Also, be sure to locate the horn on the driver's side and the windshield washer reservoir on the passenger side. They are between the inner fender and front bumper and you can cut right through them and their wires.

It looks like this Image
It should look something like this. I took the "h" out of http so it would show the text on this post.

-right click the picture on cardomain
-click properties
-copy the address (Like you see above)
-back here in the post, click the "Img" block above
-paste the address
-click "close tags" above.
-Save post... done.

you can always manually type the tags if you want also.

thanks, I'll try it. I was reading your "signature" and saw your stats. I almost bought a CRD for the mileage and torque but I'm just wierd about owning a "first run" anything. Of course now they've stopped making them...stupid! Anyhow, like you, I'm proud of mine too. I've got 20,000 just today on mine, no repairs to date and it averages 19 mpg all the time with every tank. Most of my driving is city though but I'm going on the Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree about 5 hours South. We're leaving tomorrow and I'll get a chance to stretch it's legs a little so we'll see what it does. I'm also really stoked about wheeling at an official function. I'd like to think I know what I'm doing behind the wheel and I'd love to show some naysayers what's up with KJs!! We'll see. Thanks for the help. Ya'll are kind of my first LOST friends so is there a way we can keep up with other in here?

Yep, my only regret is that I wish I had bought the Limited, I will just have to add the features as I go. Thats more fun anyway right....BTW your mileage is really quite good, with the fuel prices the way they are there isn't a very big difference really. I would never get rid of the Little turbo diesel though. I had a 2003 TDI Jetta that I traded for a 2003 Dodge with a Cummins then I traded that on the 2006 CRD........... I have car A.D.D
