Same automatic transmission. I think they have a particulate filter on their Jeeps though? Not sure about that.

Don't forget the Asuies they have them too, I posed the question a while back that the Auto trans recall may also affect the offshore models also but no Offshore automatic owners chimed in.

Actually, here's the technical site page from the UK. Use Internet Explorer - it doesn't seem to work well with the Mozilla browser.

No technical differences. I've had the LBJ and torque converter recalls done. And suffered from some of the other problems that you all had to cope with.

I think they added the Particulate Filter for 2007 to the KJ CRD...

Hmmmm...I'd love a 6-speed! (from the UK site)

Extra Urban Cycle (Hwy) 36.7 (7.7) mpg (l/100 km)
Urban Cycle (City) 23.5 (12.0) mpg (l/100 km)

...all that AND a particulate filter...

Cheers
Duey

No particle filter on my 2005 Liberty/Cherokee 2.8 CRD.
I have never been informed by the importer about the recalls, which is quite interesting, knowing that one of them is a serious safety hazard. I found on the US Jeep site that my VIN number was involved for both recalls. So I asked my dealer to perform them, which they have done.

I would chime in on these discussions, but I a 2002 2.5 CRD 5 speed manual.

Yes they have had some issues here in Germany. They knew about my recalls as well. Same computer system as in the US. They can run my VIN and do at every service.

Difference from E-spe toe US spec there are alot on add ons/options.

Particle filter required on all diesel cars/SUV in 2006 here in Germany not sure about EU. The dealer is amazed that mine does not come with it.

Due to weight class of the KJ, there is no particulate filters installed nor necessary for the EuroIII/IV emissions requirements that the vehicles were homologated for.

Several online dealers show DPF on 06 and 07 KJ Cherokee's in Germany.

Do the Euro CRDs have the EGR/FCV problems we have in the US. If not, is it due to a different EGR design or just the ULSD fuel?

So its been confirmed that the F37 was also for offshore Liberty/Cherokees and therefore the 11,000 is not ALL the US models.... Thanks for the info.

What are the symptoms of these problems? Apperently I haven't had them (yet).

I have read here that the EGR is different here. This does not effect me as i have a US spec Liberty and not a E-spec Cherokee as they are called here. I have not had a single EGR issue with my KJ.
