well, i think i may finally break down when my tax return arrives and get the rusty's lift, but i've heard too many uncomplimentary things about the rear shocks. having said that, and wanting to stay within that price range, and i dont believe that rusty sells other shocks, what should i replace the rears with, ranchos?

I do believe Rusty will let you upgrade to OME shocks for $50 more. Just ask when you order.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that they are OME struts anyway. I didn't peel Rusty's stickers off to see if there was a name under them but there was something stamped in the strut there.

ok, so the best setup with rusty would be his springs front and rear, his struts, and OME rear shocks? no other spacers or parts to bother with as a necesity?

Thats the exact kit that about 11 of us just bought about 2 weeks ago... OME Nitrocharger rears shocks for $25 on the group buy or $50 off the store.

well, i was thinking the special OME shocks that allJ had designed and built for lifted KJ's rather than the standard OME part.... but what ever works.

I'm pretty sure Rusty doesnt sell OME's with his own sticker on them. ARBSeth would be able to confirm that. Rusty doesnteven supply the right size bushing.

Everything with the Rustys kit is pretty good minus the standard rear shocks. Just ask him for the Ranchos instead or have him leave shocks out all together and go to AllJs and get the OMEs

If you want your front end to sit level with the rear, you better add some clevis lift or strut plates, cause all of these kits I've seen installed without these nose dive a bit.Unless you like that look. :?:

The front struts are OME with Rusty's sticker over the OME part number. I've installed 4-5 Rusty's lifts. The struts are the same yellow color, with the same slip on lower spring perch, then peel off Rusty's Offroad sticker reveals the OME part number. Can't complain though, because OME struts are as about as good as you can get for the KJ.

Any pics of that? I'd like to hear Seth confirm that. Till then, it's urban legend.

Yeah, i thought that rusty's lift came with monroe struts!! If they were actually OME i would assume that ARB would not allow them to sell them under another name. Also how would they be able to sell that lift so cheap! They might be OME struts but the best way to find out is to call and ask i guess!
