rusty's kit mos def comes with ome front struts. plain as day under the rusty's sticker..

as for the rear shocks, i called and was told that they will not sub their crappy shocks with ranchos.

just tell rusty's that you dont want the shocks that come with the lift and go to 4wheelparts.com, get the 17004's for $50/ea including shipping. also, be sure to get the free lifetime replacement for $5 above the total charge ( not $5 per shock ).

thats the cheapest you'll find those anywhere.

Well there it is clear as day.

I WISH I could find a good online instruction for the lift, I don't feel comfortable tackling this without pictures. Any suggestions?

Rusty's will upgrade you the OME struts for the rear. That's what I got with my coil lift.

Yeah, i thought that rusty's lift came with monroe struts!! If they were actually OME i would assume that ARB would not allow them to sell them under another name. Also how would they be able to sell that lift so cheap! They might be OME struts but the best way to find out is to call and ask i guess!

The fact is they are OME struts, despite what anyone thinks or if its "technically" correct. Go order a Rusty's lift and look for yourself. Just peel the sticker off. I've helped install 4-5 Rusty's Lifts and they all had OME struts. Plain as day when you pull off the sticker.

Along the same line of quesetioning and not meant to steal the thread. I get that you can lift the front of the KJ by using the front skid when installing a lift but what about the back? Where's the best place to lift the back and still be able to man handle the axle to get the springs out?

Right in front of the trailing arm on the sub-frame.

Sorry about the misunderstanding about the struts being monroe, I was almost 100% sure that was what rustys told me when i called a few months back when i called and asked for every detail of the lift. My memory must be going.(thats a darn good deal for that lift then, I might have to reconsider getting rusty's instead of the OME)
