Lol, got bored tonight and couldnt think of anything better to do, so i unhooked my sway bar to see how much more flex it gave me.

It gave me more, but not as much as i had hoped, remember this is a stock 04 libby.

The first 3 are unhooked, and the rest are connected. U can see that the back tire is off the ground with it connected, so i does help some, not as much as a solid axle though, hehe.

Yea, rear is still connected. Im to lazy to take both of them off, hehe. And i know a lift would help the rear, but would it help the front?

I don't know for sure, but I believe a lift has helped mine. Call Quinn at All-J Products and ask him, he'll know. He's lifted many a KJ.

Do you mean help the rear flex more? Maybe, maybe not. Depends if the shock size is limiting the flex and how stiff the springs are.

My XJ had the factory Up-Country option which deleted the rear sway and added taller springs with a stiffer rate. I thought the handling was much better than the regular XJ suspension and the lack of rear swaybar helped quite a bit with articulation. Also found that removing the rear bar on my friend's TJ made a REALLY big difference.

For the looks of it to me you still have quite a bit more left in the front. The rear flex expecially when stock is limited by the length of the rear shocks. Get some rancho RSX 17004 and you will quite a bit of difference.

Also the frankinlift will help the front also, by using a new top strut plate that allows more drop.

Here an idea for yah

Eddo, that is an incredible photo. The flex you can squeeze from these KJs for relatively low cost is unmatched by anything else out there.

A buddy of mine has a '73 Cruiser that is sweet, but it doesn't flex worth crap. You'd have to invest a couple grand in it to get close the flex that we can get for under a grand.

Eddo, what exactly has been done to yours in that picture to achieve that much articulation?

Frankenlift 2.5" lift, and front and rear sway bars disconnected?

Luis

If you want to increase your rear articulation...get some Rubicon Express adjustable control arms. (there's no provision for the rear sway bar ...so if thats a problem...don't get 'em)

I think they are the same for the TJ as the KJ.....I got mine from Quinn/Steve at http://www.boulderbars.com

Frankenlift / Skyjacker rear/R.E Adj. Control Ams

Major improvement 8)

That is not mine KJ, that is JJs. Not sure but I suspect a Frankin Lift with some RE rear control arms.
