Pic Request of Liberty w/ 18"+ Wheels

I wanted to see if anyone has pics of their Liberty with rims at least 18" or bigger. I want to see if it looks good or not.

possibly 19 or 20, I am not sure.. but I wouldn't go pass 17 as it is just the threshold between good looking tires, and ugliness.

I wish i had my camera. And no this isnt a joke.. I saw a Jeep liberty 02 -04 style Lowered Burnt Orange with had to be 20inch wheels with SPINNERS!!!!!! hahahahahahahaa OMG it was so flipping Ugly had to be a 2 wheel drive .. ive never seen one so low and i have not clue how they did that cuase it same problem lowering as it is to lift it. I think they live around here so i have my camera ready this time..

i kinda like it. its not THAT bad.... its not like they are 24" rims, those in that pic look nice IMO. will the guy take it offroad? probably not. can he take it offroad? yea, if its a simple trail im sure it would be ok, as long as theres no mud.

big rim/short sidewall = stupid and juvenile

dorks that put those on their vehicle have no clue that they frequently weigh 30 to 40 lbs more than a normal sized rim. and never even think twice about the negative affects it has on steering response and braking.

look at me! im cool, i like feeling cigarette butts in the road and cranking my radio to hear it over the tires roaring.

i love when there are HUGE potholes, always cheers me up knowing some ditz is gunna ruin his rim and tire in it. LOL

nah if he took it offroad, that would be a bent rim in 2.5 secs. But different people have different taste, I personally don't like it on a liberty but shiny rims look nice on a Yukon Denalli, or Excalade(?spelling)

Actually a 20x7 aluminun rim with a 245/45 tire wieghs less than a 16x7 aluminum rim with a 245/75 tire even though they are about the same overall diameter,rubber wieghs alot more than you think.

That's the most ignorant comment I've heard on this site. First of all, my 20" rims on my old truck didn't weigh 40 lbs. in total. There wasn't a negative effect on steering response nor braking, both were quite better because of the grippy tires. Also, unless your running a 35 series tire you won't bend anything. Most quality bigger wheels are billet, which in most cases weighs less than any stock alloy. You can't stereotype a whole group by a stupid loud stereo. If you want to be fair, I could stereo type you as someone ignorant because of "ditz".

Regardless, I think that big rims don't fit on a liberty. Just because you can't see beyond your dense skull, doesn't mean something is wrong or stupid.

different strokes for different folks. This is mainly a 4x4 site so we like 15 or 16s with bigger tires. Some like their gangsta look (not to be condesending). But thats their taste...shiny looks good, but I would not have them on my Jeep at any time.

I don't care for them.....yuck. The only thing I can think of that is worse are these idiots that put 25-30 inch wheels on an 87 ford crown victoria or oldsmobile. they have to lift the suspension to get the wheels under them! I bet they get their lift info here.... hahahahahaha :lol:

It has nothing to do with 4x4; it has more to do with money, culture and location. All these guys have taken their trucks offroad, they have more money than they know what to do with. They don't care if their chrome gets pitted, scratched or ruined, they'll buy new rims. Let's face it, all of these rigs cost way more than our liberties. More money equals a bigger truck/suv, a bigger offroad rig equals more lift and or tire clearance, which allows for bigger rims. I had a truck like the first set posted. Around here, if you roll up in a mud covered jeep you get dirty looks, like your a scrub, it's just where I'm from. In turn, now that I've been brought up though this classy area I rarely have a dirty vehicle. I just think it says something about the person who drives the car, that they are careless and if they can't keep there car clean, imagine what they look like! It's just what I'm used to, where I'm from, doesn't mean it's right or wrong.

wow, so are you calling me some poor person??? I have plenty of money, same with all the guys I wheel with. I was raised in an upper middle class family on the Jersey shore. We get a bunch of d*bags that think shiney=money (60k truck always with 1/4 tank of gas). Those trucks looks nice indeed, no doubt I would strike up a conversation with them. But if i have mud all over my Jeep, or it is done up to the 9s does that put me a lower cast??? I like my rig too look shiney just like the next guy, but i bet those guys don't beat their trucks like I beat mine!

By most of your comments I don't take offense, but I do take offense to... "I just think it says something about the person who drives the car, that they are careless and if they can't keep there (proper english is "their") car clean, imagine what they look like!" Now I live on an 80 acre ranch which is also the largest sports training facility on the east coast. I have to drive 1.5 miles into the woods on a dirt road to reach the ranch. (built that way so news people can't get in and take pics/bother the pro athletes that train here). Therefore my Jeep is dirty by the time I get out the driveway....wow i must be a dirtbag!!!

Most off, money, culture, location has nothing to do with this board IMO. Like i said, different strokes for different folks, if you like your truck clean and shiny, or dirty and scratched...its all up to the person and their interests.

The message wasn't directed toward you, don't get all upset. Money, culture and location is what all forums are about. A group of different people, with different money, locations and cultures coming together to appreciate a common interest. Saying different stokes for different folks is basically the effect of different money, culture and location.
