I made these this week for running w/o doors. Total cost about $27.00. The mirrors I picked up at Advanced Auto for $10 each. From Home Depot: two “T” brackets, a can of Rust-oleum and some rubber backing material to protect the paint.

I like the way there recessed, so there not sticking out any further than the flares. It almost looks like it should be stock. This is just a test fit. They have to be disassembled to paint the brackets.

That is freakin outstanding. I will be calling for the blueprints, I have been looking for something that looks that good and is still useable.

Was the bracket already formed that way or did you have to cut it to size, bend it, etc? Do you have brand & part number for the mirror and the bracket? Nice job!

Thanks for sharing the mod on here! We need all the tech we can get in these other Jeep sections and it is finally starting to trickle in.

The bracket is made out of a 6" galvanized Tee brace. You can find them with joist hangers at most hardware stores

The bracket is cut and drilled as out lined in this photo. For JK’s your hole spacing on the windshield is 2.5". After drilling and grinding smooth. I bent the side tab using a bench vice for a bending brake.

The mirrors are made by K Source. Part number for the black is RH083B. You can also get them in chrome if you are into the bling thing. I have seen them at both Advanced Auto and Pep Boys. I was able to reuse the stock bolts to mount them. Although I think 1/2" longer bolt will be better.
