A buddy and I decided we had too much of the constant snow up here so we went to my camp in the woods about 4 hours north of Montreal. Basically logging roads and tight ATV trails. We were actually expecting nice weather and sun... April 6th and still snow all over! Lakes were frozen and still today we are supposed to get another snowstorm! At least some off the logging roads melted and we got a little mud.

Very cool...you make it down to the U.S. nationals? I race ATVs nationally, never seen you guys but I'm sure you guys make it to Redbud (Buchanon, Michigan) for the bike national every 4th of July.

Have not made it down yet. Mainly local events. Working so much does not give me a lot of free time. I have some ATV and Motocross riders that do the CMRC races in Quebec. We also work with freestyler Ben Milot. One of these days I will have the time! :)

crazygade,

two questions...

1) how is your spare mounted to the mopar cross rails? i just ordered a set for that exact reason so i can take two spares to moab...

2) was it difficult to get the decal applied straight ( the one on top of the hood ) ?
i want to put a big jeep logo on the hood..

someone on the board had that, it was a white liberty i thought. there was a pic on rustysoffroad.com under rustys rigs, but now theres a thousand pics, and im not sure if that pic is even still there...

I just used a long ratchet binder. Over and under the crossbars like 5 times. Worked great untill I went offroad. Tire kept going all the way over to one side! The others found it really funny... I installed a second one and it seems to do the trick. I will definately get a roof basket whenever I can though. I find the Mopar cross bars to be kinda ''flexy''.

Applying the sticker is real easy if you do it right. I could always post some pics of ''how to'' if anybody is interested. Just keep it flat and work from the center out, doing half at a time only. (tape other half to keep it in place) When approaching a bump or ridge in the hood, rub/apply the sticker parrallel to the ridge... OK  That did not seem as good an explanation as I had imagined.

Here is a pic of the top:

Don't you ever scrape the heck out of your hitch receiver? That thing sits low. We would bend or break it around here.

You made us sound pretty clever there ... "it's cold and snowy here, let's go even further up north!"

Here are a couple extra pics from the weekend ... (no worries dude, I'll save your ego and not post that pic) :-)r
