Just an observation on all this Lemon stuff....

Insanity:
Doing the SAME thing over and over but yet expecting a different outcome each time....

Seems as though taking the Little Oiler to the same dealer for repairs when they couldn't fix it correctly the second time (everyone needs a second chance) and expressing having so many problems with the personel in these sub-par dealerships wouldn't you consider trying to find a dealership with a little something under the hood.
Seems to me all these little oilers come off the same line in Toledo with all the same parts. Sooooooo  wouldn't the weak link in the chain be the... ahhhh
Jeep or DC dealership repair facility that is hopelessly failing repairing the little recidivist, future lemonade, crd.
These little oilers are falsely accused, cause the DC folks sure aren't cutting any "Let's get rid of this darn thing" deals.
I'd love to get my hands on one of these little recidivists that was so detested and hated. "I hate this thing get it out of my driveway. "How much do you owe?". "13g's". "OK, I'll pay it off for you and remove it from your life". "Oh.... I can't sell it for that it's worth MORE than that". "I see, you DON'T detest the little oiler THAT much". Hmmmmmmm??????
Now...let the stoning begin... Please... Throw lemons instead of rocks. I just love lemonade with a little splash of adult fortifier...

You're right about the dealer often being the weak link, but you can't blame somebody for not wanting to take a financial beating.

The easiest way of explaining what I got back on my CRD is that Jeep gave me a check for $13,250 and paid it off. Fl Lemon law( "Reasonable offset for use" means the number of miles attributable to a consumer up to the date of a settlement agreement or arbitration hearing, whichever occurs first, multiplied by the purchase price of the vehicle and divided by 120,000, except in the case of a recreational vehicle, in which event it shall be divided by 60,000. ) I had 35,000 miles on it. 35,000miles*$30,000/120,000=$8,750

$30,000(amount paid)-$8,750(usage)=$21,250
I owed around $8,000. $21,250-$8,000=$13250

My CRD was in the shop for over 30 days, so it easily qualified for the lemon law.

I'm in the process of lemon lawing my as well. It still has the same issues as it did with 6k miles. Stumbles, misses at 60-70mph. Left my wife stranded with the kids, multiple NO START conditions. ESP quit working ....In the shop for over 40 days. I'll take my money and run. No more DCX vehicles for me :(
