Finally! After a LONG wait, the all-new Airflow Snorkels for the KJ's are in production. :D
Snorkels are available in Black, Light grey, or Green. (Personally, I'd stick with the black) Light grey would probably be preferable if you plan to paint the snorkel.
Airflow went with a 3.5" air system, instead of the original 3" design. The final redesigning process has been completed and they have beta tested 5 units. We are finally ready to go!

We are launching this new product with a first time buy-in exclusively for LOST members. It is NOT being announced anywhere else!
We will start taking orders on Monday, April 23rd. Cut-off date to get in on this special buy-in is May 15th.

Retail price for these snorkels is $399.00.

If you order between the dates listed above, your price will be $335.00!!!
Again, this is a one time offer to LOST members only!
Shipping will be a flat rate of $20.00 per snorkel within the continental USA, so the total delivered price will be $355.00.

You must call DPG Off-Road at (316)776-9900 to order. Orders MUST be pre-paid! We accept Visa, MC, Discover Pay-Pal or cashiers check/ money order. Checks must be RECEIVED at DPG Off-Road by May 15th to get this price.

We will order snorkels at the end of the buy in period. (May 15th) It will take appx 6-8 weeks for the snorkels to ship from Airflow in Australia, (via ocean freight) through CA and then truck freight to here. We will ship out the snorkels from here directly to each customer.

Mail cashiers checks/money orders to:
DPG Off-Road
13498 SW 180th St.
Rose Hill, KS 67133

Here's a pic of the black and light grey snorkel bodies and ram air scoops:

and finally, the new snorkel installed on a KJ:

Very cool looking units!
Let me know if there are any questions-
(This post is approved by Darby Walters.)
Here we go... :D

People 'round here generally want things BEFORE they're available. When/If the product is made, they disappear.

There's a 3 pge thread with 24 people signed up in the "What we need" section. Let's see how many actually order.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where they are going to move their radio antenna to? The snork doesn't leave any room so I'm thinking you'd have to move it to the driver's side.?.?

To add to that.....does Jeep sell a rubber gasket to cover the hole where the antenna mount goes?

Bigger issue for me since I have the CB antenna there.

With trade in value continuing to drop, what do you think a hole in the fender will do to the price?

The best part about not rushing the snorkels, they increased the size from the original 3" to compensate for a couple places where it has to "downsize" at certain places. Now I wiah we could import the rear cargo window with the antenae built in

Amen to that!
I've seen it in many group buys before. 100 people want it if they don't have to pre-pay. When the product shows up, a BUNCH of people disappear.

I know that things happen though. We just need the pre-payment, so we can be more sure of how many units to order initially. We can't put ourselves on the line to pay for a bunch of units that people back out on. Bringing these snorkels in from Australia in quantity is a big expense, and we're still buying extra inventory, so there's a lot of money at stake.

IIRC, now I'm actually thinking the dimpled area at the corner of the snorkel tube will allow for the radio antenna to fit.
The AUS models don't have the antenna there- it's a marker light instead.
Regardless, antenna issues are pretty easy to fix.

You mean you might actually SELL your jeep?
If that day comes, you'll wanna sell it with the snorkle on there. Otherwise, you'd have to replace the fender.

The snorkle kits do come with all the needed hardware, etc to do the install. The pics of the black & grey units are not complete kits. It is a fairly involved install. The end result though, is very nice and aside from the obvious waterproofing advantages, the snorkel looks great and allows for cooler outside air to enter the engine.

Hey, Dirk, what's up?

There are a lot of guys in Moab right now for the LOST Moab Safari going on until April 28. I'm heading out there on Wednesday, so I'll pass the word to those guys while they are in a big group for the big dinner/raffle. Since many of the potential buyers are out in Moab for a week, they might be a little tapped out on funds right afterward, so something to keep in mind if orders seem a little slow, or maybe extend the deadline? I believe some of the local guys in the LOST Colorado group were talking about getting a snorkle, so I'll see if I can dig up any local interest.

No I won't sell mine. I can see where the snorkle might not be appealing to some folks and that may limit what the dealership would offer on a trade.

I guess it depends.
I've just never been one to let resale value get in the way of my mods! 8)

I'm just that way I guess. When I build a house, I always look for what would appeal to the general public if I had to sell it.
