darn mutt that sucks to hear. you can't even part it out. . I wish buy back laws were differnt. I know in IL it has to be 11 years or older to buy it back. hopefully you can find it in a local junk yard.

I would check the legality behind that
They may be able to tell you that "yau can not remove any thing from it"
What about your personal "Things" that "remain in the jeep"?
Or the fact that it "broke down a while back so yo borrowed some parts from some one to get it running so you could get to work"?

I knwo more than a few guys who used that stuff to strip down their flooded jeeps
they removed as much as they could to keep the thing rollin
some guys even removed items like say a ford 9" from under their YJ and "traded" it for a 35 from a realy good friend
The jeep is yours until you get a check in hand
and if you have a loan on it ,it is not yours or theirs but the banks until the loan is paid off
if it is removed with out your concent that is technicaly steeling the only people who can remove that jeep from you is the bank for failure to pay the loan

I would realy dig deep on this one
I have discused the "what if i roll my jeep" situation with state farm and they told me that as long as I own the jeep If they declair it a total loss
they will pay me "fair market value" for that jeep
I can then buy it back for $XXXX and I will only get a savage title wich means that I can not sell it nor can I get full coverage insurance
all I can get is the required ,I dont know what they call it, when I run a red light and cause a wreck insrs.

Good luck

laws vary from state to state. Like i said in IL the car has to be 11 years or older to be bought back from the insureance agency.

Another option I've heard of is the insurance company paying you back for the things on the jeep as long as they're bolted down and you have a receipt. My buddies truck was stolen and wrecked and his insurance company paid him for all the things he had receipts for: the lift, skids, and he even convinced them that his Sub box was bolted in and they payed him for his system. Its worth a try.

this is why when i mod my vehicles i always keep the original parts. Cause if you wreck it then you can always put the originals back on because they are not going to pay, unless you have extra coverage for the items, for them all they are required to give you is Fair market value for the vehicle which is based off of their lil NADA or Kelly Blue Book value, I would strip her after the inspector left and put orginal parts on it so they have a complete vehicle at auction. Most of the time that is what they worry about is that when they come to get it that they have to bring extra wheels and tires and all that. Mutt sounds like they know that at the auction they will get more money from your KJ with the extras so they said dont remove anything. but if they wont pay you extra then who do they think they are tellin you what is yours and theirs.
