I haven't lifted yet be read up alot about the rusty's lift the route I will go when I left and the conduit washers you add to the front and you just add some to lift the front up a little more if you want. When I lift I am going to put 2 in the front on each side and then prob put 1 rear isolator pad in the back to lift it up a little more. You do these things to gain a little more lift if you want you don't have to but while you have it apart anyways might as well do it. Hope this helps a little

Quck and Dirty answer:

I have had Rusty's lift on for almost 40k miles and it has been great.

It sits 3/8" - 1/2" higher in the rear (similar to stock) once the front springs settle a little. The conduit nut can be placed around the base of the strut so that it sits a little higher once the clevas is clamped down. This gives you a little more lift and levels it out.

I did the clevas lift before the conduit nut was even 'invented' and it sliped back down so I gave up on that.

I then decided not to do it because I was trying to preserve my front ball joints as much as I could. 35k miles on them and they are fine so I either got lucky or it worked.

Are you installing it yourself? It is a much easier job than you might think.

Doing a clevis lift will not hurt the upper balljoints unless you do to much of a clevis lift and the joint hits the coil at full droop. :)

I put my lift on over 25000 miles ago and have had no problem. I have the OME Heavy Duty coils with Rancho struts. I experimented with how many conduit nuts it would take to get the heighth I wanted but also no contact at full drop. Now with the Ranchos the conduit nut will slide up over the little lip on the bottom of the strut so I installed 5 of them per side which left 3 below the little lip. They will not go over the stock or OME struts I dont think. When at full drop I still have a little room (1/8 inch maybe) between the UBJ and the coil right where I wanted it.
So you can do a clevis and not have problems, but like any thing some moderation comes into play. Everyone wants to have the most lift but with that also comes problems later on.

too add to this the guy's around here who have the Rusty's KIT ( including myself) & have done the conduit washer clevis lift WON'T go any higher than 3 per side roughly it will give you a more lift up front to level it off rather than have the raked affect unless you like the raked look then don't do it, I have yet to do it but will soon

I've run mine without the clevis lift & it performes flaullesly :D

I had 2 5/8" lift front and rear immediately after the lift was installed. I took before and after in the same location on level ground.
