Well folks it's that time of year again to start throwing out bad habits and making room for new habits! So why not kick the new year off right and start with a full day of wheeling!

As some of you know JJ came up with a great idea of having a run on New years day. Well I am going to propose that we continue this KJ West tradition and start the year off right! I have been throwing some ideas around with Clint about a good Trail that everyone can enjoy.

Last year we ran ORD Mountain. This year we were thinking about either White Mountain or one of the SUV trails from the High Desert Round up (Bartsow). This run will be on New Years day, and will be welcome to all levels of driver and rig capability. I would like your feed back about these areas and will make a decision based upon the concensus.

Times and a meeting place will be posted at a later date!

A pre run or two will be done as the year closes out. I will be posting dates and times for those if your interested in joining along.

Devils Loop in Barstow would be cool. We will be running it in November too, so that Could also be considered a pre-run.

What I remember of Devils Loop, it would be a bare to get a stock vehicle thru some spots. I was thinking of somewhere that was stock vehicle friendly and fun at the same time.

At this time I would like to ask that if you are interested in doing this run, please post if you are Stock or Modified.

Great Idea to continue the tradition :)

White Mountain was fun...Last Chance is another...Suv run from HDR would be cool also. I think Devils Loop might be alittle extreme for the timid amoung us...(and the hung over !)

Remember those TWEAKERS last year that we met on the trail....wow talk about toasted !

The HDR trails would be cool for the HO run as we could split up for easier or tougher trails or run an easy and then kick it up for those that want tougher.

Will, We are trying to keep this run available for both Stock and Modified rigs. Whether you are lifted ot not, I plan on making this run alot of fun for all skills of driver.

Right now I am leaning towards White Mountain. Sorry JJ I know you have your heart set on Devils Loop, but for this run I am taming it down so everyone that attends can enjoy them selves.

I would also like to ask if you are planning on going please email me at larson.brian@mchsi.com, so I can keep a running tally of the vehicles we will have attending. Thank you in advance.

Brian

Timid? Timid?!? You?!?!? You wanted to go up that insane hill in Last Chance :D

Uh. You mean tweaking as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tweaking_%28behavior%29 --- what an interesting combination of hobbies. I can see why you might want CHL on the trail :D

Any trail is good with me, I think, except insane hill climbs.

Oh I plan on being there!!

Got a reply from Quinn and found out that he is busy moving so the lift party is on hold, till end of Oct or begining of Nov (hopefully). I am gonna order some 05 boulder bar later next week and see if he will hold them till then, or I make an appointment to make it up there and have the shop install the lift.

But count me in on the run.

Lisa, I couldnt be sure about the ruts. Those were caused from all of the rains from last year. We really wouldnt know anything about the trail until we pre-run it. I will be setting up a pre-run sometime after Death Valley.
