Shh!!!

Well, okay, here it is, you talked me into spilling. I'm piling up parts for it as we speak and should begin building in the next couple weeks. SHould be a good foray into welding for me - a buddy from work and his father are gonna learn me how to weld in the process:

Sorry pixeldzn just couldnt resist, saw you mention it over on ROF so sort of knew what you had in the works. I have been trying to find a decent 1/4 ton but almost ready to just build my own like you. The size you have planned and the lenghth of the hitch looks good. What type of hitch..pintle? You need to start posting so we can do a follow through of your build. Good luck it will be a fun project for sure.

Nope. Lock n' Roll like Mario uses on the Adventure Trailers. Best of both worlds - nice street ride like a standard ball-hitch and nice offroad articulation like a pintle.

http://www.locknroll.com

Once I have all the parts, I'll take a picture and make a new thread, along with pics of the build.

Should be a fairly easy build at that. I wanted to buy a basic tentrax or chaser, but I will be at half the cost when I am done with this, and will have learned some things along the way. I don't really need an expedition trailer as much as I do a really cool looking utility trailer.

Sorry for hijacking, jason!
