Nope, no problem at all. Only thing that would hurt performance would be getting bigger/heavier tires.

Thanks for the info. I am going to be towing a tent trailer with it so I wanted to make sure, before I do the lift.

I pulled this monster from Cali to MOab then from Moab to the Grand Canyon w/ no problems. 2.5" lifted on 245/75's.

I had a pop up and had no problems we went to the Fl Keys alot, than we had to leave it at home because we could not pull the boat and camper .I took the 22" CC to the Keys and it was 3600 empty.with 45 gal of gas and two 50 lb Ice coolers and one 45 gal live well it was about max. my Liberty always did great. I have had 2" lift and 245/16 or 265/16 and never had any problem. Just get the right drop to keep it level
pop up used a 4" drop ,Boat had 2 " drop because the boat had biger tires and stood higher .
I had a extention to clear the spare tire for the boat.

I cant believe you all tow with steel rims and/or 245/75/16 tires. I couldnt keep my speed up when I had 255/70/16 tires on steels rims going up hills.. Much less try to pull a boat up a hill.

Did you hold that thing to the floor JJ when you went up those mountains?

no problems towing a 28' catamaran. Id say it weighs roughly 4,800lbs with the trailer.

Put it in 4-low when pulling it up the ramp, just to make it easier, then 2wd every where else...
