How many people are running 245/75/r16's with 5" backspacing on a 2.5 in. lift and if so can i please see some pictures of your kj's. Also tell me if you get any rubbing at full lock or any time. Also please tell me what kind of tires and their brand they are. Thank You

I got Wrangler M/T R 245/75 16's on the stock rims which is 5.5 backspace I think. Correct me if I am wrong anyone (tjkj2002) Guy's been schoolin my dumb butt lately. Really aggressive tread which may cause more rubbing problems. FYI: I also have a 3/8'' clevis lift up front and an extra iso pad in the rear. I may be a little higher than you.

I had rubbing at full lock on the fog lamp doors and air dam. The air dam was the worse. Sounded like a baseball card in a bike wheel times a hundred with a Mega phone. It was so loud when I would back up people a hundred feet away turned and looked to see what was making that noise!

Pinch weld was clear so I didn't have to pound that. I haven't noticed to much stuffing, yet, but I think I am going to get the N132L and extend bustops for the rear in the future and some extentions for the front.

I cut the air dam back and I used a heat gun to push the fog lamp doors forward. Some folks on here told me to put some aluminium foil behind the fog doors so you don't melt the wiring for the lights or your wind shield washer reseviour. I recoomend you do so. Better safe than sorry!

I'll include some links with pics of the tire.

5" BS is perfect with a lift and those size tires. You will get alittle bit of rubbing on the fog light area, pinch weld, and the rear fenders when flexing. You can get some extended bump stops to fix the rear and do some mild trimming on the fender flares to fix the front. May also need to beat the pinch weld over. :)

My stock 235/65/17 tires on the stock rims(5.5BS) rub the sway bar alittle at full flex.

Just trying to help!
Oh by the way 245/75's on 16x8" rims with 5"BS will work good with the already mentioned modding(if getting thr frankinlift very minor trimming compared to other lifts),many people here are using the MOAB rims/tires off of '03-'06 Rubicons and thoses rims are 16x8 with 5" BS and the tires are 245/75R16's.Just look in the pic section and just about all the KJ's using the MOAB rims are running the 245/75's,they are everywhere!Or you can check out the Rockies section and look in the "post your rig" thread and just about everyones KJ in there are running 245/75's,I think I'm the only Rockie's guy not running 245's that has lifted there KJ.
