First let me start by apollogive if this is a repost but I am desparate. I just completed building a dirtbike carrier that goes in the receaver. After it was all gusseted and bikes loaded (my DRZ400E and my daughters CRF50) my blazer is sagging pretty bad with a 2.5 inch shackle and an add-a-leaf. So I know when I throw this thing on the libby and load all our gear for the weekend it's gonna be bad. My old blazer is in no shape to be driving long distances so the liberty is gonna do the camping duties this summer. My first big trip in on memorial day weekend and is going to be my daughters first camping trip.

So now for my question, where can I get some airbags for the rear of the liberty. I would like the one that go inside the coil springs. I would need the full kit and I am not interested in installing a compressor so would need a kit with an external fill. If it matters my jeep is a 2006 Jeep Liberty renegade. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks
Ben

Yes, Eddo and I are two that have them. Some other people may have them but I am unsure. We have lifted Jeeps so out air bags are bigger than the normal bags for the liberty. I believe ours are for a 4runner. Either way, they are cheap. Mine were only $77 and they do great. I actually used them today when I was moving back from school. I probably had around 250-300lbs of extra crap in the rear of my Jeep and I couldnt tell it was back there. They stiffen up the ride when going over bumps too so you do get that old caddy ride when you have alot of weight in the back.

Here is a link..

CLICKY

I did a alittle write up when I put mine in but I cannot find it. I hate the search function. Anyone else care to look for it? :?

Well, I went down to summit and the lady told me my order didn't go through because the website was having some sort of problem. Good thing though, Summit doesn't stock this kit and it ships direct from airlift with a 3 day wait. I just got off airlift's website and with three day UPS shipping it was cheaper than JCWhitney and only 5 dollars more than summit.

To you guys that have this kit how hard was the install can it be done in the drive way or do I have to do it on the lift at work. I don't like going to my work on the weekends unless I have to.

Ive got a website that I am going to do a write up on, but Ill post some pics here for you.

Take shock off so you can drop axle down and get spring out.

Wrestle the air bags inside of the spring.. be sure to turn the 'nipple' in the correct direction. its not fun getting the bag back out.

Image

I turned my 'nipple' up since there was a hole in above the bumpstop. Take the bumpstop out and you will see the hole I am talking about:

I popped some clips out of the fender well and pulled it back exposing another hole. I used a coat hanger and fished it up the hole above the bumpstop and used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out of the hole behind the fender liner. It was a BIG help having an extra set of hands:

Ive been offroad many times with TONS of flexing and ive never had a problem. The directions say to keep 5psi in them at all times but I do not if they are not needed. Again, Ive never had any problems.

GOOD LUCK! :)

Do airbags help improve swaying under load also?

Did anyone buy the accompanying air control system or do most just buy the air bags and manually fill them? and if did get the management system how hard was the install/do you think it is worth it?

Its a possibility that the bags could help sway depending on how much your Jeep was sagging. Best thing to help sway is a WD setup and anti sway..
