Had to take some pics of the 1/4 panel to convince my father the right way to fix it is to weld in a new 1/4 panel, he isnt convinced thats the way to do it yet so I figured I would try and show him that this is the better way to go.

I also finally washed the january road grime off it it, much cleaner now......

Thats a OEM Jeep wheel, its the spare from my 00 Cherokee freedom. And that tire was unmounted from the rim, and the spare was flat(and has a large leak), I blew air back into the tire/wheel and got the bead seated on the rim again, the tire and wheel are just sitting in my garage waited for me to remount it and put my spare back in my XJ.

Hey SirSam....I can relate,I help my brother-in-law do about 6 totals a year.Thats all your allowed to buy in Ohio.He does mostly Mustangs and Grand Am's,they seem to move quicker.Have you found everything you need to put it back yet?We buy ours at a place where the guy usually has everything to fix it, and buy it all at once.We strip off all the carnage, send it to the frame shop, and when it comes back is when all the fun begins.Tack everything in place, jam it out ,paint it,and finish up installing all the chrome and interior panels.....if we can find all the clips and screws.
Hurry up,can't wait to see you work your magic on it.

In colorado if you sell more than 3 cars a year your supposed to have a dealers license, I havent gotten one yet and havent gotten in any trouble yet either.

Tracked down the best deals on all my parts except for the fender flare, only place I have found it was the dealer at $110. owch. other wise certifit has the hood at $110, mirror at $45, and both park and marker lights for $45, dealer has front bumper for $90, roof panel for $205, 1/4 panel for $260, and drivers door skin for $80.

The real work begins this weekend when my father gets into town.

Ive always done XJs before this, in my area a $4-5k XJ sells like a hotcake, but this is the first liberty that Ive done.

In general I get a better price on new OEM parts from the local dealer because I get a 25% shop discount than anywhere I can find online, used is a different story.

Meh, I could go out any day of the week and spend 2-3k on a liberty to do that to. No reason to chop up one that is easily repairible.

Oh no! How rude! Someone put a little ding on your drivers door! I hope you noticed that before you bought that and the seller gave you a discount.
