Last night went to get on the freeway in downtown Cleveland. It did the sloppy downshift (into neutral/nothing) and grabbed again. Only problem was it was raining and the Jeep tried to switch ends on me. That was fun. Had just come from the B20 pump, must have been misfueled.

Time from first stalling on rolling stop to failure was about 40 minutes. Had a friend tow it - didn't want to chance Roadside Assistance towing it to the wrong dealer.

Wow, that's not very long, was thinking 100's of miles or several days. I'd bet there is a tight spot in that cooler or line. Once the shavings start to pile-up, the oil stops flowing and it's all downhill from there. Just had a stroke!

I just got my 05 Liberty CRD out of the shop after 4 1/2 mo. the liberty had a shudder at 50 to 55. after they did the recall on 27 of Dec. 2006. the out come was, the converter that DC had them put in was a converter for a gas engine not a diesel, the dealer put back in the old converter that is for diesels and now no more shudder.

Also when using bio-diesel we get 33 to 35 mpg.

Just found this on the DC Tech Authority website. Dated March 14 2006, TSB 18-009-006.

subject - Flash: Enhanced Torque Converter Operation and Glow Plug Operation or Brake Switch DTC P0504

overview - this bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM) with new software.

models - 2005 KJ Liberty/Cherokee equipped with 2.8 L diesel engine (sales code ENR).

diagnosis - if the vehicle is in for service perform the Repair Procedure.

sorry i can't give more info right now, but it's time to go to work.

Isn't this old news? March 06? I think that the big recall for the torque converter/ pump had the latest software upgrade.
