I havnet heard much about this lift kit. At my work I receieved a $200 amazon.com gift certificate and it can be used towards anything on the site. So I was just wondering if any of you have heard anyhting about this kit and if theres any problems with using something like this?

Im not a crazy offroader so I really dont need a whole coil lift. I had someone put my name down at work for a referal of where I work and then I ended up with 44,000 tripreward points. which is close to $200 for a gift certificate so all in all its gonna cost me like 17 bucks.

Is there anything I should be worryed about and also will i need new shocks / struts or bumpstops???

Never had it but I heard it will kill your front end. Does in the ball joints.

Checkout a daystar lift from all J at www.boulderbars.com

If you want a lift your bets bang for the buck is a Rusty's Old Man Emu Lift.

Do your research. Once you start lifting you are heading down a road of future expenses.

Read around this and kj country forum www.jeepkj.com/forum/ about lifts and the associated probelems so you know what you are getting into.

I started out wanting a little lift to help on access roads for Kayaking and climbing. Now several grand later I am still plotting mods. It is addicting once you start tinkering with it.
Especilly when you see the results of your work!!!

Rocky Road is a local company out of Heber City, Utah. So they are just down the road a bit. I had the Rocky Rocky Budget Lift on my CRD up until 2 weeks ago. It lifted the vehicle about 2 1/2 inches as advertised but I did have issue with the spacers killing my front Spring and Struts after 25K miles. I never experienced upper ball joint contact but others have complained about this. I would not do it if I were you. Rocky Road has better lifts like the Rocky Road combo lift anf the Rock Father lifts. I hope this helps.

OTT Strut spacers that give all the lift have been problems with this kit. I had it years ago and immediately took it off.

Even if it were free I wouldn't do it. I did see that Amazon had the Surco roof rack for the KJ. I hear those are really nice.

Ditto what he said. They also have a pretty good deal on Hella 500s, but they aren't anywhere near $200.

ROCKY ROAD IS TERRIBLE I ORDERED A ROCKFATHER I KIT AND BEFORE I DID I ASKED WHEN IT WOULD GET HERE THEY SAID AT THE MOST 1.5 - 2 WEEKS I JUST GOT IT AND ITS 3.5 WEEKS LATER, AND ITS MISSING PARTS. THEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME. THEY ALSO SAID I COULD SEND IT BACK BUT IT WOULD BE THREE WEEKS LATER THAT I GOT MY MONEY. EVEN THOUGH THEY CHARGED MY CARD 2 WEEKS BEFORE I GOT ANYTHING. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY. I'M A US MARINE WITH TWO KIDS IT TOOK ME THREE MONTHS TO SAVE UP THIS MONEY AND I HAD TO PAY A GUY 250 BUCKS TO PUT THE LIFT ON AND HE HAD ME SCHEDULED A WEEK AGO WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE HERE AND I HAD TO CANCEL AND LOSE 100 DOLLARS OF THAT MONEY. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY ARE THE WORST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH FOR ANY SERVICE AND PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW NOT TO USE THEM. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT USE ROCKY ROAD OUTFITTERS YOURE ONLY IN FOR A WORLD OF REGRET AND HIGHER BLOOD PRESSURE.

It is actually not legal for them to charge your credit card before shipment. You could call your credit card company and use the shipping invoice to prove they charged previous to shipping...might get a total refund.

Mine was a debit card but, I think I may stop by my bank tomorrow. I've been waiting for the money back for two UCAs that I ordered on 2-14-07 and still haven't seen. Called them a few times, supposedly the order was canceled because their supplier won't have them for months, maybe years; and I was supposed to get my money back within "a couple weeks." The first time I heard that was in March. I should have known better than to go to them for anything, considering their "budget lift" was the cause of my need for new UCAs, as well as a whole slew of other parts. :? Too bad Glenn Wakefield doesn't seem to pay any attention to us... he'll never know just how many people he's pissed off.

YEAH I ASKED THEM IF I COULD SEND THE STUFF BACK AND GET MY MONEY BUT THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 3 WEEKS AFTER THEY RECIEVED THE LIFT BACK. THESE PEOPLE SUCK I WISH I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM. I ADVISE ANYONE THAT IS ORDERING A LIFT TO STEER CLEAR OF ROCKY ROAD OUTFITTERS. THEY CAN TAKE MY MONEY OUT WEEKS BEFORE I GET THE PRODUCT BUT I CANT GET MY MONEY BACK FOR 3 WEEKS AFTER THEY GET IT BACK.

This has to be the 200th person I've heard that is PO'd with RRO. Seriously...there have been countless members who ordered something and it was wrong or they had a question about something and the people at RRO were rude and didn't want to give them the time of day. I have no experience with their company or products, but it sounds like they're not good with service.

So coming from a board that is meant to be positive and inspiring, what can we do to help them see the error of thier ways?
Personally I think we should go down there and kick some butt! But that wouldn't help our fellow L.O.S.T. bros in getting there $ back. So how can we turn this into a win?
