I would do rotors and pads at the same time. Nothing like doing the whole assembly new. Plus, why repeat the labor or score your new rotors with tore up pads?

no alignment less than an hour swap
if you can change a flat tire you can change rotors
Auto Zone has rotor for 22.00 each and they are good .when you do the front breaks just swap the rotors because only the brake caliper holds them on. two Allen screws. don't know what size anyone know that offhand? does anyone torque them and if what pound

Dan (Roachman3700) from AZ LOST did a nice write-up in the tech section. I wouldn't worry so much about getting the slotted/drilled rotors he put on but it gives you all the basic info you need to change the brakes and rotors.

great, I don't know why I thought alignment would be needed...

as for those napas, you got any links for online order? I would be interested in seeing how they look. I have been thinking about replacing the whole thing. I always thought the brakes were a bit sensitive business so I never was brave enough to do any work down there myself. Plus we need jackstands and even surface, which I don't have on my driveway.

csukoh78, if you end up doing it yourself keep us posted.

EVEN surfaces?? I installed my strut plates using the factory jack which was on top of a flat rock to enable enough lift! trust me you can manage to do the brakes, just be very careful and take your time and it should go fine.

I took a look at that instruction, it doesn't look that bad, right about an hour or a bit over under right circumstances, other than that looks like I need a whole toolbox.. Unless I have those tools laying around in the garage, I am gonna have to just buy the things I want and take it to the shop for them to do it. Because if I buy all those things just for one time job, it will cost me arm and a leg.

How about a link for those napas?
I can only find THESE (Link)
