Okay, I doubt any one on here will condone the use of a budget lift. However, I have lined out a Liberty that I may purchase, it's an '05 Sport with just under 25K miles. I am leaning towards the budget lift, simply to save a little for some of the extras such as tires, roof rack, and lights. The budget would not stay on any longer than needed. I would consider leaving the rear spacer lift in and buy the front frankenlift. But for the price of that I can get the entire spring lift from Rustys. I saw the CAGE spacer lift for $139.95 on sale. It does not appear to be a on top strut spacer. Anybody got an opinion on that brand or recommend one that is worth while? Thanks.

I have not heard of anyone running that lift but I have seen it on ebay. Give it a try and tell us how it works. Spacer lifts will get the job done, the main diff I notice around town between my spacer lift and Frankenlift is my Frankenlift no longer bottoms out like the spacer lift did. I took my spacer lift every where offroad and it did great.

I drove mine off-road, too and it destroyed the ubj's. If you're going to use spacers, be sure to put some poly or something between the ball joints and the coils on the front.

I would just save my money until you can get what you really want and what will last a long time. Why do something twice? Everytime you do something to your Jeep think of it as an upgrade not putting something on just to get by for now. You will be happier in the long run . Read the many many posts of others who have went down the cheap budget trail before you!

I have a rusty's 2.5 spacer lift on my 2003 renny and I like it ok. You lose travel in the suspension and overall it's not so great if your going to doing alot of off roading. I wish I would have saved up foir either the rusty's susp. lift or gone all out for a frankin lift. I think after 4 years of having it on my struts are almost done and need to be replaced (I think). I am riught now saving up for the front of a franken lift. Hope this helps.
