Is there any way to adjust when the low tire pressure light comes on in the instrument cluster? It just annoys me that when I lower my tire pressure below 33psi and the light comes on, especially Since I rarely have above 32psi in my tires.

No...I hate that sensor. They changed it in the 05 models. My sensor is broken and the light had been on since the day I drove it off the lot with only 21 miles on it!
I took it out...that is the only way to change it.
If I am wrong please correct me, but that is what they told me at the dealership...I know that you cant always trust em though.

It came on if they got below 31psi for mine. Also if the pressure in any of the tires varied from eachother by 3 or more psi...including the spare. That is how it should be for the 05 models.

I belive the cutoff point for mine is 28psi. I also have the EVIC which will flash the whole time I am on a trail, showing me what each tire has in it. Pain in the butt

You can have the dealer retrain the sensor with a special magnet that looks like a donut and an update to the computer system (to tell the computer what tires you have and what psi they should be at). I've seen a write up somewhere before, but i can't recall where.

The doughnut magnet should be with your jack under the seat.
It doesn't adjust the psi amount. As far as I know.

There are two different tire pressure "sensing" systems on '05 KJs.

If you have the EVIC that displays pressure for each tire then you have a sensor mounted to the valve stem of each wheel, just like the system in earlier KJs. If you have this and you like to offroad, be careful lowering your tire pressure as you can break the sensors by crushing them.

If you just have the warning light then the vehicle actually has no idea what the pressure in your tires is, it is just sensing a difference in wheel speed (indicating different rolling diameters usually caused by reduced pressure in one or more tires) and illuminating the warning light if that difference is past its warning level. Odds are there is no way to deactivate this as it is a government mandated safety feature. It also may be illegal to modify or attempt to disable it, just the same as it is illegal to modify or disable other safety equipment (airbags, headlights, etc.)
