Oldnavy I hate to see that you sold the CRD and hope to see you stay around here. You have saved me many head aches and made me a happy CRD owner. THANKS

Wenied sorry you had to go to a bigger non-diesel, too bad no diesel in that size was available for you and your brood.

I actually tried, but could not even get in the ball park trying to trade, they wanted to only give me $20k for both my vehicles. The MB dealer gave me way, way much more.

The two Dodge dealers wanted my CRD for $13,000, I thought about calling the police and having them arrested for attempted thieft. I talked to one Honda dealership and they didn't even want the CRD for a trade.

WOW!

The nerve of some dealerships. When I sell my CRD, I'll probably post it on the local Biodiesel site and a few diesel specific places before I give it away to a dealer. As I've mentioned before, if you want to nearly DOUBLE the value of your used vehicle in Nashville, put a diesel engine in it.

I've seen 4cyl Jettas selling for <$10k but the diesel ones are all in the upper teens, even with high mileage. That's if you can find one. You can forget about finding deals on diesel pickups. They get snapped up at premium prices too.

I bought my CRD at Carmax. It was transferred in from another Carmax out of state, but the buyer didn't qualify for the loan, so I happen to be in the right place at the right time to buy it. Couldn't believe it only had 9600 miles on it and it was two model years old. My neighbor works for Carmax and told me the story. He confirmed that diesels are HOT here. He said they typically don't last more than a couple of days. He told me he'd thought about buying the CRD when the transfer buyer couldn't come up with the cash, but I swooped in and bought it on his day off. LOL! :)

Sooo...

This means that there are two CRD's now getting turned around at dealerships AND we know that they were maintained! Good leads for anyone buyin'!!!

I'm thinking that the diesel Tinguin 2009(or whatever that rabbit-crosover) might be the trade on my 99 TDI Jetta....It looks great AND I might be able to drive it to work in the winter.

But I'll could sell the KJ CRD (famous last words). Imagine my son in the year 2021: "Dad, you mean to tell me you had a diesel JEEP and you SOLD IT?!!! Jeep never made another diesel!!!!!!!"

Old Navy been looking at the MB for a long time, but just settled for a 98 Jetta TDI to complement
the CRD. 180,000 on the Jetta 5 speed, but knew the previous owners and they get 50-55 and have
records from day one. Now have to learn the A-3 timing belt compared to all the tools I have for
the A-4. Daily driver up here gets beat in the winter. Great choice on the MB---DIBS

It's mine not the other half's, she is driving the 91 300D to work.

I'll post a picture as soon as the rain leaves out of the area, it is a beauty. Not the first dent, chip or smudge inside or out.

It is a one owner, a minister, and has never been smoked in or serviced anywhere but at the dealership I bought it from. I got a "as long as I own it warranty" on it the powertrain as part of the deal. So far it is a love affair with something I have wanted since I was a kid.

I am to please. These were just taken this AM and it is dirty from 130 mile drive home and some of the driving was in the rain.

The rear license plate frame says" Yes, it's a diesel".

We almost bought the ML320CDI brand new before the MB dealer got an attitude with me and would not meet the deal we had spoken about on the phone/email. So he lost the sale over a matter of $1000. I ended up buying the CRD used and I am sort of disappointed that I did not buy the MB. Figures a week after I bought the Jeep, the MB dealer tried to meet the deal, but it was too late for that guy. My buddy has a ML320CDI and loves it! I guess if or I guess I should say when the CRD starts giving me hell, I may trade it in. So far I have had no issues and I drive 5+ hours one way at least twice a week either in the CRD or the TDI wagon. Time will tell... Good luck with your CDI, you got a great car! I may be right behind you getting a MB. As of now, my next car WILL be a MB product, especially since the ML is about the same price as the Grand Cherokee CRD, which is rediculous.
