That's right...its gone. Sold our mazda that is. Made you look. Not sure what we're going to get in its place, but we will be combing the dealerships this Saturday instead of out on the trails with you guys. I'm bummed, but that's life. We also have family coming in to town next week and we have a lot to get done this weekend if we are going to be able to take time off next week.

Have fun guys!

If I sold the KJ there'd be no doubt we'd be getting a Rubi. The KJ will be around for years to come though...there's too much sweat equity to just trade her in at this point. We actually picked up a 2005 X-type. I didn't really see myself as a Jaguar driver, but the feel of leather and a really good deal have a way of changing minds.

Woo Hoo! Jag owner! I know the leather feel.......KJ leather seats......hahaha! So, that means you should be coming today instead of cruising around in the Jag.....LOL!

Yeah, I wish...Angie decided that it was time to do some home projects since my parents are coming to stay with us in a couple days. So we're planting bushes, painting, cleaning...believe me, I'd rather be out with you guys on the trail. Cruising in the Jag will have to wait.

I just got home from the trail and dinner. Probably a good thing you didn't go with all the things you have to do.

Holy #$%^...that's a long day of wheeling right there. Yeah, definitely good I didn't go. Didn't you guys get up there super early to help out Marty as well? That's a 15 hour day!

We got on the trail at 1030. We left my hotel with everything put back together by 0915, but I still had a lot of air in my coolant system, so we had to stop twice on the way to Idaho Springs to put my water in it. Then we got about 5 minutes into the trail, and put more water in it, then it was fine the rest of the trails. The trails aren't short, but any means, and we had a few spots to do some spotting, but it was just a lot of big bumps and switchbacks. Mill Creek was a little more challenging with more obstacles, but no problems through that. We got to the intersection at Red Elephant and Bill Moore Lake at 1600, and we decided to go ahead up BML instead of heading back down. Got to the lake in about 30 minutes. There was a short hold up on the way there because some idiot decided to pick the most unlikely place to roll off the road. I mean, you would have to be a real toolbox to roll off at this spot. Anyways, the jeep was about 50 meters down the side of the hill. We didn't hang out at the lake very long because the mosquitos were incredibly thick. Troy looked like one of those bee keepers with those things just covering him. Most of the rest of us sprayed on repellant and they just hovered around and took kamakazi missions at you. Anyways, we got off BML around 1800, hit Downieville for free air, then got in the wonderful traffic on I70 and went to Woody's Pizza in Golden. Left there about 2100, ended up stopping a couple more times because the dang jeep decided to almost overheat again.

If we started at 0830 and didn't do BML, we would have been done by 1400 or so, but what can you do?

Oh, and where are the pictures of this new ride?
