you gots to finish her out man this whole thing to me kinda at first made me laugh then made me think and now im kinda in awe thinking about how sweet it could look one day..

and look on the bright side. if this whole thing works out and you use a tube door design you made your self.. get a patent on those darn things get them mass produced and i would bet a million bucks that there would be a line of people waiting for get a hold of them..

good ideas and work so far mud.. dont give up yet!

I went into my parking lot and leaned on my KJ...like the pic...it isn't that hard to do

I really do think that rounding/buldging the tube doors out and then back in will work with the KJ. TJs have flat sides so flat tube doors work.

My only point is that he was so gung-ho about the doors then all of a sudden he changed his mind. I'm just trying to help him avoid that again the future :)

awesome pic....seriously, if you have a higher res version, I wouldnt mind putting it on my screensaver. Its that good.

Its funny...i realize that he is probably protecting himself by grabbing the bumper, but if you squint just right, you can imagine him saying "No! It's too dangerous! You can't make it! You'll kill us all!" and the driver grumbling 'outtamyway...."

You ever see a man in the water that has an alligator or a shark coming towards him, and he sits there, perfectly still, and at the last minute he grabs both jaws to keep the animal from biting him? yeah, thats what I see

Either that, or a matador narrowly escapely a rampaging bull.

I'd like to see someone try to make tube fenders for the front and the rear ... this might actually be something that might not be too hard to do especially if you do it so they only replace the plastic parts instead of the whole fender. Let me know if you're going to attempt this.

YA! ditto with that ive always thought that would look so sick but ive just never seen anyone do it.. i dont really think it would be to hard.. plus the look upgrade of those things would be amazing wow.. going from that crappy gray plastic look on sports to some black powder coated steel on there..

do you think that a body shop or metal shop could fab somethin like this up if you gave them some measurements?

I would go to a welding shop that does custome work. They can make anything! I was thinking of taking off my front flairs and doing something like that.
