I've got a Lubelocker gasket on it's way and was wondering what to torque the rear diff. cover bolts to. Anybody know?

Thanks.

Dave

AS per service manual the rear diff bolts are torqued to 30ft-lbs.

I got the lubelocker in front of me. It says: 1st: 15ft-lbs, 2nd:35ft-lbs. Its got a sticker on it with bolt pattern and all that, so no worry. I am going to install mine this weekend.

The lubelocker is REALLY nice. And super simple to install. You will be glad you got it.

Just ordered one, I used Permatex "Good Stuff" last time, but still leaked a little around the bottom of the cover. Didn't know the "torque it twice" trick at the time.

Prior to using the lubelockers, I would always just get the bolts snug then let the RTV set up and then tighten the bolts down. Never had a leak doing that. Oh well.... ancient history.

Lubelockers are the only way to go now!
