I hear those KJ's perform pretty well in mall parking lots....but I have never seen any pictures proving it. :?

Dude, I wish I had the pics to prove it as my mall experience was terrible. The speed bumps....oh my gosh! I thought I was gonna have to call a tow service, the there were the pretty, flowing hair, big chested humanoids all over!!! Talk about taking your life in your own hands when the youngers ones would fill up a car with 10 of themselves while talking on all of their cell phones. Pretty scary stuff.

I've taken mine (at stock height) to the Grand Canyon's north rim, Canyonlands National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Death Valley National Park, Cedar Mesa, the Superstition Wilderness, Costco, Target, Safeway, Albertsons and work.

It's not what you 'wheel. It's how you 'wheel it.

For a KJ, just add the requisite skids, a lift and some meaty tires and you can go nearly anywhere...

My daily driver likes offroading! She never complains and has NEVER broken any bones :D Best trail experience: watching the Toyota (lifted) getting stuck behind me! I made it stock...read unlifted

I feel qualified to help out on this one because I/we own both a moded TJ and a moded KJ
here is what I feel I know
the KJ is not a TJ it was not ever built to be like a TJ it should not be compared to a TJ
can you wheel them YES we have wheeled ours and Impressed guys running YJ's and TJ's on 35's and 37's on the SAME TRAIL
as far as will it hold up or break down more no one can say that will depend on your driving and the trails you wheel as well as how the rig is built ,skids ,sliders ,lockers ,lift ,tires ,ect. will all play a part

I think that if you wheeled a KJ like we wheel the TJ and tryed to use it as a DD it would have issues but then again I dont DD the TJ and it breaks down more than the KJ and the damage is 99.9% from the trails and the fact that I wheel hard ,very hard

I say wheel it and have fun

Working out some deals right now, im trying to get an 03 sport for $15,000 with all taxes in Canadian dollars remember. It has 70,000km on it, not miles. So we see what they can do.

That was actually one of the easy drop-offs on Poison Spider Mesa. There have been worse (sphincter-slamming-shut drop-offs.....or would it be dirty-the-drawers drop-offs?).

Those drop off are great but it the ones that we deal with that bring in a a whole ne world

"OK it's a little muddy at the bottom so you are going to need to give it a little gas to move the mud with your bumper and push down
but DONT GET CRAZY with it cause we dont want you rollin over"
Image
or
"look now when you get to the top dont let go of the gas cause you are going to bottom out and get hung up the trail on the other side of the hill aint to bad just stop and wait for me"

"Sphincter" first then the relaxation after you finish brings the "dirty-the-drawers"

Alright so two new ones have popped up now. There is a patriot blue one:

http://www.canadatrader.com/result/deta ... srt=1&mp=0

Or a black one with a lighter colored interior, which would you go for?:

First link didn't work

Either way it doesn't really matter but assuming that's in CAD? =14,200 USD
2nd is WAY to much in my opinion. I got my '06 4x4 with 25k miles for 14,800 at a dealership

I wheel my KJ quite a bit through some of the roughest stuff the Colorado Rockies dishes out and it's been my daily driver since March 2004. The only maintenance issues I have had with it were the result of an improperly installed lift (could have happened with any vehicle type). I have developed a couple of rattles but that is also common with any vehicle you wheel hard. I wish I could post some pictures but I'm at work and I don't have access to my picture hosting account. I'll try to post some later this afternoon/early this evening.

awesome, thanks.

But i dont know what to do about prices. There is some 03 kjs with 70,000 kilometres on them and they wont even come close to 15k for a price for me after taxes, so i dont know how u got your 06 for so cheap. But in B.c, i cant get even close to that

Went out and did a little damage yesterday, These are the wheeling pics. I don't have any of the damage yet.

Don't worry the brake line isn't holding up the axle like it appears.

It sure is nice and flexy without the front swaybar. :D
