Not even a nibble,maybe,no,or feh? awe comm ahhn wheres the love? if it rains much too much just bring the kayak or the ski boats

Just not a real great place to be during the monsoon season......
ski boats or kayaks will do NOTHING in that area when it rains....
be careful!!!

FYI - the last section of wash in the canyon before you get to the cabin is essentially a very tight boulder field. You will touch nearly everything under your KJ - even if you are lifted. I wouldn't recommend it without skids!

Ditto on Todd's statement.
I don't believe the cabin is doable by a stock kj, need lift, tires, and armor. The last mile is a tricky part, and there is LOT'S of traffic on that trail so you can't take forever to get through stacking rocks and spotting. It takes a pretty experienced driver in my opinion. Also in monsoon that is a dangerous trail as most all of it including box canyon in and out is in the bottom of the wash.

Understood - I was under the impression that it was "stockable" (I am armored but not lifted, and still the stock Wrangler HP tires). I've been keeping an eye on the forecast, and Saturday is looking dicey - 30% chance of rain all day, not just in the afternoon. I don't want to be in there if there's any rain within twenty miles, hey, I remember Antelope Canyon '97.

/me shruggs never been, my trail book says its a fairly easy run, but the publish date was old, the book does however mention martinez canyon also and says its quite difficult and requires special equipment. lift articulation, skids ect ect... I would agree if we get rain, we may have to find somthing else to do for the afternoon =) thanks for the heads up is this y yall didnt run the gap? any ideas on local not so, in flood territory?

I agree to your statment however, i spoke in the context of sarcasm, I wouldnt be caught dead up there trying to kayak a flash flood (b/c i would be caught dead and it is a life long goal of mine to NOT recieve a darwin award if possible) All joking aside, its important to stress the dangers of these areas durring rain for if the common passer by to our little forum were to mis-interpret what was said, we want them to stay safe.

Change in plan - we are now aiming for Bull Springs Road, this Saturday July 21. Partly because it's got the easiest to describe meeting place - the giant cow skull (is there a cow skull emoticon?). 9:00am.
